Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My partner and I had the pleasure of visiting Vino Fiala winery in Slovakia in summer 2023, and we cannot express enough how truly extraordinary the experience was! From the moment we arrived, my partner and I were in awe of the unique and authentic atmosphere paired with a genuine welcoming vibe. The tour was fantastic, but what truly set it apart was the traditional homemade Slovakian food lovingly prepared by Martin's mother and served by his son. Every bite was a delight to the senses.

Additionally, one of the highlights was visiting the cellar and receiving an in-depth explanation of the various wines, as well as the history the cellar went through during World War II. It was fascinating to learn about the rich heritage behind each bottle and at the same time sample more wine right from the barrel ;)
Not only was the tour informative, but the personal touch definitely made a difference. Martin and his family made us feel welcome and valued throughout our visit. The passion and knowledge they shared were infectious, leaving us feeling inspired about their craft. If you are looking for a truly unique and memorable experience, I highly recommend Vino Fiala winery. The genuine hospitality, coupled with the remarkable food and captivating history, make it an exceptional destination. Five stars without a doubt!

We travelled to Modra by train and bus from Bratislava. We had read the reviews and wanted to try the wine. On arrival in Modra, maps took us to a house. We rang the bell and an older male spoke with us. This turned out to be the father. He agreed to meet us at their other premises in an hour. We had wine tasting and nibbles. It was the best day of our two week travels. Mr Malik was a great host, he showed us around the entire place and we tasted 6 wines! I would recommend anyone who has the opportunity to attend this wine tasting. Perhaps email in advance as we were lucky they could take us. Thanks again Mr Malik!

The museum was fun and, best of all, it enabled us to go to lunch at Elesko, the restaurant. The museum contains primarily contemporary art, which is not my favorite; yet, some pieces were surprisingly interesting. For example, there was a 3D piece reminiscent of Modigliani that was way cool. The gallery doesn't take long to see but it's an extraordinary added dimension to a fantastic restaurant, Elesko. The wines are great, too, and they grow literally in the field behind the gallery/restaurant/vineyard complex. If one is in or near Modra, this gallery and restaurant are a can't-miss experience.

We recently visited here in a stop-off as part of our private tour of the Carpathian countryside. We found it very interesting and the variety and beauty of the ceramics created here was excellent.

These monuments (Statue of Ľudovít Štúr etc.) are situated in the middle of centre. There is a large parking lot, but it is not always free. Near you can visit Museum of Ľudovít Štúr or Upper Gate.

The church is nice decorated with several altars. Except of the time of Holy Mass is usually closed. If you are lucky, you could enter and pray for the reason you feel and this place allow you to come closer to our Lord
