Perfect place to feel close to God.

When I went here I felt my personal burdens lifted and seems so small. It shows how peaceful the place is.

Place is well kept and is really beautiful with natural animals roaming around like small pigs and horses. Plus the flowers and plants are well maintained.

We arrived at the jump off point to the Barangay Hall of Daraitan at around 9am then proceeded to the other side of the river bank via balsa/bangka to get to the Barangay Hall. Upon reaching the river bank, you need to ride the trike to get to the Barangay Hall to register and pay the tourist fee, from the Barangay Hall we took the trike to get to the starting point of the Tinapak River, we walked for about 30-45mins one way depending on your phase. There are two toll/entrance fees here (one at the Rizal border--no receipt issued and the other, for Quezon border--with receipt). We made a short stop at the Tinapak River Camping Ground (private owned property which has store where you can buy food/drinks if you want to) before heading to the view point of Tinapak River. Recommend to take this trip early in the morning since it could be scorching hot at noon/afternoon. The view of the rocks and the river itself is rewarding. You can swim at designated areas in the river.

Went there last Aug. 27, 2022. Place was an easy 2 hours drive from Manila. Encountered traffic on our way back, that was in some market near the junction going to Antipolo and it set us back by at least 20 mins on our way back to Manila. Anyway, the experience was great, my kids and my wife had a great time and they can't wait to go back again. It rained that morning so we had to leave our car along the small road going up and took a rocky road drive on a tricycle since the road was slippery and muddy. The road going up was so bumpy my kids got scared. Better bring a 4x4 :) Checking in was a breeze, no drama. Our tent's location was perfect, just overlooking the obstacle course and perfect for viewing the sea of clouds. Just had a hard time sleeping since it was hot inside the tent even though it was drizzling. It got cooler around 4am where i started to get sleepy kaya lang it was "sea of clouds" time already so I was not able to sleep anymore. Don't forget to bring extra kumot and bed sheets to cover the mattress. The view was just awesome from everywhere, from our tent, from the edge of the cliff, from the rock formations, so memorable it got us all hungry. The inclusive silog breakfast was not bad too. Serving was just right and the tapa was tender and tasty. There's coffee at the store so don't bother bringing your own. After breakfast we head on to the obstacle course, our kids tried the full course while me and wife just settled for the spider web. It was fun! Shout out to kuya Athan who assisted my kids through the whole course and took pictures pa while he was at it. Better line up early if you want to try this as waiting time is atleast 45mins. Will try to check out the falls next time. I highly recommend that you try Treasure Mountain, definitely worth the time and money!

This is quite a place to spend time with friends and relatives. One can experience something that's once in a lifetime. Retreat, place to adore, contemplate and adore your Lord and His Mother. A wonderful place for expressing your feelings towards the Creator.

Water is very cool here, though some parts are really deep so be very careful. All Natural :) The hike is somewhat tiring haha.

I was pleasantly surprised by this cave and rather enjoyed our walk through it with a guide, who was fairly knowledgeable. There are no lights or commercialization here, so it is handy to have a torch - I used my phone. There are some interesting formations on level 1 and 2 - where we went. You are issued with a helmet when you go in. We did not do level 3 to 5, as it involved crawling and tight spaces, etc. it’s not a “must see” place, but glad we went, as we combined it with a trip to the Daranak Falls. It was slippery, wet and muddy in places. It also has a bit of military history.

Nerve-wracking climb to a rock formation. Instagramable destinations. Excellent customer service from the tourism staff. Warm and friendly.

In google maps, this is PALO ALTO Valle St, Baras, Rizal

This is NOT a resort. This is a village clubhouse. Rate is 150 per head, excluding cottages. Pool is open til 4pm only. No overnight stays. Cottages have grilling stations.

The lots are still empty, houses are still on their way, but all the roads are beautifully paved.

Lot owner enters free, plus 1 companion. The rest of the party needs to pay 150 per head.

In some cases there are 2 or more lot owners per lot (husband and wife). Only 1 is free, plus 1 companion.

There's a natural falls. You can hike up their winding trail (stairs) with 249 steps.

we had a no-frills picnic for about 25 at this place. we asked for a tent gazebo set up. pesos per person.

the views were amazing. take a stroll around the premises. (we didn't take a kawa bath)

picnic facilities were sufficient. there was a toilet and running water. trash bags were provided. electricity (generator) is provided only if staying on premises or an evening gathering

weather was perfect (gazebo tent protected us from a brief drizzle)

worth the drive. pay attention to the signs.

coming from markinina, use Google maps as it tells you more accurate directions. our group came from naia airport, and we arrived on time (2 hours 15). the other 2 groups got lost using wayz, and were coming from marikina (they were lost and were late 1 hour)

There's a mobile cafe every Saturday and Sunday, 4pmm to 7pm. They have the best coffee and pastries! Abeoji's Bread & Brew. Check them out when you visit Tanay Parola to complete your lake and sunset view experience.

I've been looking for reviews for this place before I visited last week. Though some have written blogs about it this cave isn't that well advertised by Daraitan / Tanay Office. Known as "Tinipak Cave" in Daraitan this is definitely a must see attraction.

    Tips for the cave exploring:
Hike is around 40 mins to an hour so pack light and use a waterproof bag. Since you will be using your hands for the cave decent bring or rent out head lights. If you have strong night vision camera or high flash you would be able to take good shots inside the cave (I wasn't), wear your swimming wear as it is really refreshing to swim inside the cave (Current is strong inside).

Amazing that this oldest of Tanay churches is still standing! But before entering the church, the huge sculpture of Mama Mary and San Ildefonso of Toledo greets parishioners as they enter the gate. The sculpture was made by several local craftsmen as a way to preserve the giant 100-year old acacia tree that was dying of disease.

This sculpture is echoed by at least 14 other ones inside the church that represent the stations of the cross - one of the most beautiful depictions of major events in the Bible. These are encased in glass and should live a long long time for future generations to marvel at.

The church looks its age although I think it has been remodeled or restored several times. It's in baroque style and has a beautiful retablo. Some of the stonework might still be original, or at least very very old. There are also wonderful sculptures of saints mounted on walls, as well as a richly adorned santo entierro.

The side pulpit has a life-sized figure of a smiling Pope Francis looking over the entire church (probably made out of corrugated paper or very thin wood) - a nice reminder of the Pope's last visit to the Philippines.

A large courtyard opens out at the side of the church, with the statue of Mama Mary dominating the square. Other wonderful details of the church must be experienced to be fully admired.
