What a great place, we live a short distance away but had never been.
We were enjoying a walk around when I was taken ill and fainted, they could not have been more helpful.
I’m so grateful for the care they showed me.
I was fine after being checked out at hospital.
I was looking for an email address so I could thank them but could not see one on their website so I really hope they see this.
We will definitely come back to see the other half of the museum and the glass blowing that we missed.
Thank you so much once again for your kindness.

As always, a lovely leisurely walk in peaceful surroundings, just outside St Helens. Nice walkways, bluebell woods, lovely lake views, light refreshment at the Boat House and all very relaxing. Just off the East Lancs, it is a perfect local beauty spot.

Having grown up using the old St Helens Corporation buses for me it was like going back in time. To see and even enjoy a complimentary ride on one of the old buses was brilliant. There were several of the old St Helens buses along with other from different areas.
The photos of the old town centre really did take me back as the town centre now to be honest is a bloody mess and a disgrace and not somewhere I would visit to do any shopping.
Maybe I am getting old but the museum took me back to better days.

Taylor park is a great place to go, my daughter loves it, it really helps her cope with her autism, lots of quiet places if she gets overwhelmed, however we have been to the cafe twice as she has gotten hungry and wanted Nutella and toast and twice we were told the grills were switched off, the second time was at 1:40pm which in my eyes is a little early as they shut at 4pm.

When my girlfriend asked me if I was interested in a bit of head....I was naturally overjoyed.....so I was quite surprised when she took me to this lovely country park with the reward of seeing a giant head at the pinnacle....ah well, can't have everything. The car park is very well sign posted and not too far from the summit (sadly, unlike Stay Close portrayed, one cannot drive up to the top). I like the fact they have left the parkland rustic. There is a lot of wilderness...taking it back to what it might have looked like before the coal mines came and destroyed the beautiful countryside. It is nice it has sort of returned back to the before times. On a sunny day it gives great views and is filled with families....a nice getaway from the town of St Helens or Widnes.

This place is for Golf lovers really with a golf course and driving range on-site. The cafe is nice and has a few Veggie choices but during the winter it has a habit of shutting on Mondays. The park is generally clean with a small lake and a few ducks to feed.

Went last week watching Chubby Brown, wouldn’t think he’s 77 years old now and he’s still as good as ever! The theatre could do with a bit of a refurbishment, tatty floors, tatty seats (taped up) also the beer is extortionate £3.70 for a bottle of Budweiser! Absolute shame really as this place could be really good if it had a few quid spent on it, suppose they may be struggling and still getting over the pandemic so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt - hopefully better next time 🤞

I have to say, this is such a special place e to worship. This is a CHURCH first and foremost.
You feel that as soon as you enter this magnificent building, but this is more than a building, this is a very special place.
Whilst many places of worship are losing their sole, St Mary's retains that 'holy mystique'.

This place used to be the heart of St Helens and now it is just an "inconvenience" for the local council. I still think the square around the church should be a centrepiece. It is a nice example of an early 20th century church.

The most beautiful Altar reredos in Britain. A stunning church, prayerful and peaceful House of God. The Altar reredos with its Angels and Saints is a wonderful work of Art.

Has received awards and certainly the architecture is interesting. Very clean and nice staff on duty. However if you are going to build a building like this you have to build in cleaning and maintenance. The glass is filthy and in parts is obvious it hasnt been cleaned in years - not good.
