Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Liisa JTurku, Finland49 contributionsThis is a great place for kids and adults to explore things and to get enthusiastic about science. We spent there all day and still could not experience everything. Everything is done so that visitors get excited to explore. There were some queues but we were fine with those. When you have a Finnish Museum Card, you can get in for free, that is great! Cafeteria was quite expensive and it was not very clean. That was a pity! However, the museum shop is wonderful !Written 29 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SenorColinasLondon, UK48 contributionsA museum offering varied and fascinating insights into Finnish aviation next to Helsinki's Vantaa Airport. I visited on my way to the airport, alighting the train at the Aviapolis stop and then walking a short distance.
The museum has a mixture of both civil and military airframes, including some unique examples. There is a focus on the history of civil aviation in Finland and Finnair itself. Practically all exhibits are in Finnish and English. I spent about 90 minutes exploring the museum. The only downside is that the giftshop is unusually expensive (even for Finland).
I would certainly recommend this museum to anyone visiting Helsinki with an interest in aviation. It's pretty convenient to visit when travelling to/from the airport on the train line to Helsinki city centre. There are lockers to store small suitcases and backpacks etc.Written 18 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is more of a tour in a small area where they explain the history of Fazer, show you some of their products, how they are being sustainable and then allow you about 10 minutes to sample a huge array of Fazer chocolate. You are then sent home with a gift bag of Fazer products. The whole tour lasts about an hour.
Although interesting it was not exactly what we were expecting, I would have been happier with a nuts and bolts presentation of their actual chocolate making process. Not sure it was worth the 15+ Euros.Written 4 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Many restaurants, lots of clothing and shoe stores, but also some stores for kids, for home appliances, for outdoor/camping goods, Finnish books, etc. Lots of locals shopping there, which we took as a good sign?Written 1 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Storyteller7066564 contributionsBeautiful church which has a lot of history. It's quite modest, but I think the modest decor fits like a glove. Besides the church itself, also the surrounding cemetery is quite pretty. I was once in a guided tour here, it was interesting.
This is quite popular church (for weddings etc) and there is sometimes lot's of music concerts also.Written 12 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. In wintertime you can have a dip in cold water in the frozen lake, which is very refreshing. And of course to go to sauna after (or before) this exotic swim. There is also a cafe where you can have also moderate prized lunch.Written 8 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Storyteller7066564 contributionsThis is a nice place. You can find some shops (not too much, but there is an shopping mall Jumbo right next to Flamingo), restaurants, spa, hotel, movie theater, gamerooms, cafes and more. I think that the location of this place is pretty good and it's easy to come here via car or public transportation.Written 12 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - holodeck6Espoo, Finland25 contributionsSuperb long and wide indoor track!
They have electric cars (which have a boost button), very advanced timing systems & driver profiles.
This is one of my favourite activities especially during vacations. Spent already hundreds of euros here and will spend a lot more! :)
PS. The staff members are really nice and friendly and even gave me highly valuable driving tips when I asked politely.Written 9 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mikael FHelsinki, Finland31,001 contributionsAs the name says this mall is large. It is located in Vantaa, south of Ring Road III, in the Vantaanportti business area near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
We have visited here and the Flamingo entertainment center connected to Jumbo many times as staying at the nearby hotels. Finally, we have learned how to find everything and what is the easiest way by foot in and out of the shopping center.
You can find here about 120 specialty stores. The largest stores are the hypermarkets K-Citymarket and Prisma and Stockmann. There are also many restaurants and cafes.Written 1 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There were only one other group at the same time. We had lot on space and time to proceed at your own pace.
Nice touch were Pride flags all over the museum!
Next time we have to check, if there is guided tour available. Signs were interesting and helpfull, but I think tour would be very interesting.
There were free admission.
The facilities were very clean and the staff friendly.
Upstairs were a cozy play area for small children.Written 29 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Called also the Church of Light this modern wood and yellow brick Lutheran place of worship was designed by architect Juha Leiviskä in 1984. Under the trees nearby is a small area with a bench for silent reminiscence.Written 22 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
