Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came here with our young child for the first time. Reception was very friendly and they interacted with our child which was no nice. We hadn't booked but were still let in for a family swim. Had to remove shoes to walk through the locker areas resulting in wet feet/wet trouser hems, this was a minor issue. The pool itself was enjoyable for a young family as there was balls/toys/activities at the side of the pool/water features etc. The slide was not on but it looks great! One other slight issue was the temperature of the pool (28°c) this was a bit on the chilly side, if this was warmer then the experience would have been even better. We did get out earlier than planned due to this. The family locker rooms were large enough and provided enough to be able to change easily. Would probably return to try the play area and cafe! Maybe the pool again if it was a bit warmer.

The most successful club in the UK arguably - it has 13 international champions, well over 40 County champions, Walker Cup & Curtis Cup players & European Tour players. As a result, it added the tag, The Home of Champions to its club name.
A delightful course set high above the beautiful Tyne Valley, it measures around 6000 yards but demands accuracy & touch by, especially, better players if they wish to score well.
Nevertheless, players of all ages and ability will find the course really enjoyable - as well as a warm welcome &great refreshments in the cosy clubhouse.
The clubhouse facilities now also include one of the finest swing studios in the North.
Annual fees, at well under £700 for full 7 day membership is great value and includes free rounds of golf at 6 local courses too.
    Well worth visiting, or joining!

When Di and Jim’s took over originally it was fantastic! The staff were brilliant. Now it seems they and some of the staff are complacent. The toys in the toddler section either don’t work or are broken. There are a line of little tikes cars that are broken leaving 2 out. The lack of cleanliness is genuinely appalling. There was food that was crushed into the carpet that had been left for a few hours and I never once saw anyone out to clean the tables let alone the floor. I used to love taking my son here as the food from the pudding parlour along with a coffee is a lovely treat however I won’t set foot in here with how dirty it’s been on my last few visits. With what they charge there’s no excuse for broken toys and toys that need batteries.
