Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Marvin GOgdensburg, NY1,036 contributionsThe Ennistymon Falls is sited on a river that borders the Falls Hotel & Spa grounds and may be viewed from a bridge over the river from behind the falls that is multi-level. We were here in the summer when the water level is low. However, we could discern the majesty of this location and would enjoy sitting under a tree enjoying the cool mist and noise of the river over the rock faces of the falls.Written 1 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Simon1 contributionMy family and I stopped in Sara Foust's gallery while walking throughout the charming town of Ennistymon, and we are all so happy we found it! Sara is so lovely. She let us walk throughout her gallery (and pet her dog) without any pressure to purchase anything. Her work is so beautiful and really captures some of the landscapes unique to the west coast of Ireland (i.e. Cliffs of Moher, rolling green hills, the river through Ennistymon). She seemed quite thoughtful about her art and was happy to share the background stories of many of her pieces. After mentioning that we were tourists, she happily shared with us several recommendations of restaurants, walking trails, and other galleries as well as some interesting history of the town of Ennistymon. We ended up buying several smaller prints of her work that we found particularly compelling. Overall our entire group had a great experience meeting Sara and would highly recommend talking a walk through her gallery, if only just to meet her and see her work. She is a special person worth the visit.Written 9 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- David O6 contributionsA moving tribute to the people who suffered, died and emigrated. It was of course not a famine, there was plenty of food but much of it was shipped out to England under armed guard or too expensive for the poor. It was genocide by starvation. The potato blight affected most of western Europe but only the Irish suffered. One of many memorials on the west of Ireland who suffered the most. Definitely worth a visit.Written 23 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Andy ParrishLondon, UK28 contributionsWow, what a pub. Real Irish hospitality and make you feel at home. My partner thawed herself out next to the open fire. She was even given a new fresh pair of socks to replace her soaked through ones.

The front room used for the occasion was big enough for the amount of people in attendance.Written 7 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He stopped at spectacular sites along the way and provided us with information only known by locals. His restaurant recommendations were great. All in all it was a ten!!! Highly recommend Scales and PJ.Written 14 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- ccgarciadiscoveryseattle10 contributionsGrainnie was an amazing guide to spend learning about cheese making, goat rearing and life. The St Tolas cheeses were delicious - each one in the sampling was better than the next. Tho if I started in reverse order would say the same 😉. You will love this tour and high level discourse about the region. And the 30+ baby goats were on their best behavior.Written 28 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
