We had a lovely time with guide Peter. Connie had proposed an itinerary and we worked with Peter to customize a bit. Malin Head was fabulous and the walk out to Hell’s Hole well worth it. The Doagh Famine Village was very interesting full of cultural and political aspects. We spent only a little time there and would go back to explore more.

Knowledgeable and well prepared guide who loves the outdoors and her home. It was good to hike with someone who was also so knowledgeable about the ecology and history of the area. We greatly enjoyed our hike and would do other hikes with this guide!

Seeing the north of Ireland through Henry’s eyes was amazing. We knew very little about this magical place and he took us to see the most wonderful things - like Malin Head and the Dough Famine Village. He also escorted us to other parts of the west and north of Ireland, giving us a friendly and delightful trip. We are all cooks as well and we were consistently taken to places where we had memorable, scrumptious meals. I highly recommend his services!

My parents and I had a full day tour with Henry in early June. Henry was a great guide. We had sent him some information prior to our trip about distant relatives who lived in the area. He was able to find their homes and we got to see the land that my great great grandmother grew up on. After that, we left the itinerary for the day up to Henry and he gave us a great tour, including taking us to the Slieve League cliffs. Booking Henry for your trip to Ireland is absolutely worth it as it allows Henry to take care of the driving and everyone else can sit back and enjoy the views. In addition, Henry is a wealth of knowledge and you really learn a lot!

I learnt so much about the local area and the history of it. My Dad is from Buncrana and I have lived in the area for 14 years and I still learnt so much.
Fiona has an incredible amount of knowledge and shares it in a way that keeps you interested and wanting more.
I couldn't recommend this tour enough, it really is fantastic and I will be doing it again with family in the summer, I'm sure they will enjoy it just as much as I did.

We just enjoyed three perfect days with Henry as our guide. He is a fabulous guide. He quickly picked up on the type of things that we liked and what we were not interested in so he adjusted each day to our specific style. He was incredibly considerate of our needs making sure we were comfortable.
We loved chatting with him. He had great stories about his family and their connection to Donegal. He seemed to know everyone and we were treated like royalty everywhere we went with Henry!
We visited many beautiful and interesting spots throughout Donegal but our favorite activity was driving along and stopping at magnificent views! Henry was great at finding the perfect spot and taking a great picture of us!
On our last trip, my husband had driven and I navigated. Roads were so tiny, we were mentally exhausted by 2 each day. With Henry driving snd navigating, we could relax and enjoy the view! Car rentals in Ireland are outrageous especially for seniors, so Henry’s price, we thought, were very reasonable.
We highly recommend Henry to all visitors. You will enjoy his expertise and his warm personality!
Thank you, Henry, for helping to make our trip magical!

This was the first leg of our Ireland visit and we hired Donegal Tour Guide to help us get acquainted with the area and find the remote townland where our ancestors once lived. Henry’s friendliness and expertise made him the right choice for both. He picked us up promptly at our hotel in Donegal Town and transported us comfortably in his minivan. Our day was a delightful combination of the highlights of the Fanad Peninsula Tour and a personalized journey to my great-grandmother’s birthplace on that peninsula.
Henry combined a knowledge of the region’s history and geography with the passion only a local could provide, answering our many questions about modern life in Donegal. Every stop was a highlight, including Rathmullan, with views across Lough Swilly as well as the awe-inspiring vistas at Fanad Lighthouse and Ballymastocker Bay. We enjoyed a waterside lunch complete with Henry's local recommendations of the alcohol (Kinnegar) and non-alcohol (Football Special) varieties. The afternoon was a very thoughtfully researched trek through our family homeland. Thanks to Henry, who showed us the meaning of Céad Míle Fáilte, our day in Fanad was among the most memorable of our trip.
