Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Karolina G1 contributionThe start of the tour was a bit delayed as the group before us ran into our start time but the tour was worth the wait and Ann Marie was an amazing tour guide. She spoke very clearly, was very interesting and knowledgeable. She took nice pictures of us and was very kind and accommodating. The views from the top of the tower were lovely too!Written 22 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bozeman-DublinTrim, Ireland8,688 contributionsI loved my walk along the wooden boardwalk at Yiloughal on a bright spring morning.
There's a great view along the coast and the surface is very wide, flat and well kept.
There is a big car park and toilets just on the town side of the car park. The boardwalk stretches off along the beach, not too far, perhaps a 15 or 30 munite stroll one way. If you walk towards the town it is only about a 5 minute walk to the end of the biardwalk.
To the main part of Youghal you'll be waking about 50 minutes one way so be warned!Written 20 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The staff are just wonderful! So polite & helpful! The booster seats are ideal for the kids, my daughter was very comfortable & didn’t have to strain to see the screen. I thought the lady handing lollipops out at the end of the show was a fantastic touch! Thanks so much for making our day so special!Written 10 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Donagh MDublin, Ireland61 contributionsWe set out at 10am on a Monday morning recently with Skipper Tony. His boat takes 12 passengers. We had beautiful weather all the time during our trip. Every so often Tony would stop and explain the history of the river and the castles on its shores which was very interesting. He explained that Youghal had been hit by a tsunami in the 800s which changed the course of the river and the coastline. We traveled as far as Villierstown where we landed and had coffee. The trip back was just as enjoyable. It should be taken at high tide which means that muddy banks are hidden. Our visit concluded at 2pm.Written 24 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
