What travellers are saying
- Karolina G1 contributionThe start of the tour was a bit delayed as the group before us ran into our start time but the tour was worth the wait and Ann Marie was an amazing tour guide. She spoke very clearly, was very interesting and knowledgeable. She took nice pictures of us and was very kind and accommodating. The views from the top of the tower were lovely too!Written 22 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - beegalIowa City, IA153 contributionsA gorgeous church which is well set up for tourists with ample information (even when the reception desk is closed), music piped in, much to read. We spent nearly two hours there. Handicapped accessible - you can drive on the encircling gravel path right to the door, but not all the chapels inside have ramps.Written 21 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bozeman-DublinTrim, Ireland8,688 contributionsI loved my walk along the wooden boardwalk at Yiloughal on a bright spring morning.
There's a great view along the coast and the surface is very wide, flat and well kept.
There is a big car park and toilets just on the town side of the car park. The boardwalk stretches off along the beach, not too far, perhaps a 15 or 30 munite stroll one way. If you walk towards the town it is only about a 5 minute walk to the end of the biardwalk.
To the main part of Youghal you'll be waking about 50 minutes one way so be warned!Written 20 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is located by the water and we had to ask two people before we finally found our way there, but it was so worth the stop.Written 21 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - chrissie86Youghal, Ireland8 contributionsI brought my little girl here for her very first trip to the cinema & we were not disappointed! The staff are just wonderful! So polite & helpful! The booster seats are ideal for the kids, my daughter was very comfortable & didn’t have to strain to see the screen. I thought the lady handing lollipops out at the end of the show was a fantastic touch! Thanks so much for making our day so special!Written 10 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SueKeighley, UK6 contributions'Please look after these walls before its too late.
The Town Walls are in need of a lot of TLC. Appparently the person in charge doesn't think that clearing the huge stinking piles of garden rubbish dumped from nearby residents is worth shifting so the appearance of the Historic Listed walls is really bad. The rusty scaffolding and fencing with trees growing inside is also not a credit to the caretaker of the walls. The access gates through the Sally Walls were closed for 3 years until the person in charge was challenged about the decision to keep them closed. The steps up to the walls are in urgent need of repair at the bottom from Ashe Street and they also need cleaning because when wet the green moss makes them dangerous. Signposting to the walls is also missing at the top of the steps. Apart from that, they are pretty impressive but in parts in danger of collapse because of all the Russian Vine which has been allowed to climb over the wall unchecked.Written 26 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tracey PClonmel, Ireland166 contributionsMy kids are 6 and 1. Great for kids above the age of 2 maybe 3.
Amusements are good however only downfall is that the rides that need staff to monitor them or work them are really under staffed, we had to wait for the ride opposite to finish for the girl to come across and work the ride we were queuing for, this happened a few times... I was here 3 years ago and it was the same.
We ate in the diner here, food is actually nice here, we were pleasantly surprised as places like this don't normally have good food. But I would give the food 5 stars for a kids place.
We went into the player, we were charged €12 between the kids for 1 hour. Eldest had great fun, there's very little for kids under 2 in here. Very little only 2 small areas with very little in them. I was sitting in area at the end of the play area as the youngest made her way down there and there where no older kids in that area but we were asked to leave by a member of staff, when I said if older kids comes we will leave and she said adults aren't allowed in any of the play areas. So we then left. Really don't think kids under the age of 2 should be charged especially when there only allowed in 2 areas with very little in them.Written 22 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Good visual material and some interesting artefacts. Walking tours are organized from the centre.Written 24 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Gosia4 contributionsAmazing place with a huge range of handmade crafts, jewellery, natural balms and candles, spectacular art, vintage clothing and accessories and many, many more. If you are looking for a gift, that is the best place to go. If you want to treat yourself with something special, that is the best place to go.
I loved the welcome atmosphere of the gallery. The artists who run the place were very passionate and purely happy. I will come back there for sure!Written 2 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Once in there it's a bit bland and not much to see or doWritten 10 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The salmon was amazing and the drinks were lovely.
