Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Jane W14 contributionsOur guide Shirley was friendly, informative and happy to answer any questions. She really brought the clock tower to life. The views from the top of the tower are amazing.Written 13 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Twinma AFGreystones, Ireland157 contributionsThe Boardwalk in Youghal makes a very pleasant walk. It is 1.9 km long, so a walk down and back in 3.8 km, or about 2.4 miles. The boards are nice and springy underfoot, and with the beautiful view and sounds of the sea, it gives an enormous feeling of wellbeing.Highly recommend!Written 7 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eochaill_localDundee, Scotland, United Kingdom23 contributionsA unique setting and a wonderful experience for all the family. Unlike the overly commercialised big name city cinemas, this is a friendly, stylish and fun experience. Will definitely be back.Written 18 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Tracey PClonmel, Ireland186 contributionsMy kids are 6 and 1. Great for kids above the age of 2 maybe 3.
Amusements are good however only downfall is that the rides that need staff to monitor them or work them are really under staffed, we had to wait for the ride opposite to finish for the girl to come across and work the ride we were queuing for, this happened a few times... I was here 3 years ago and it was the same.
We ate in the diner here, food is actually nice here, we were pleasantly surprised as places like this don't normally have good food. But I would give the food 5 stars for a kids place.
We went into the player, we were charged €12 between the kids for 1 hour. Eldest had great fun, there's very little for kids under 2 in here. Very little only 2 small areas with very little in them. I was sitting in area at the end of the play area as the youngest made her way down there and there where no older kids in that area but we were asked to leave by a member of staff, when I said if older kids comes we will leave and she said adults aren't allowed in any of the play areas. So we then left. Really don't think kids under the age of 2 should be charged especially when there only allowed in 2 areas with very little in them.Written 22 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Wow, what building. The history just oozes from the walls. The interior is magnificent.
This must be one of the most beautiful churches in the whole of Ireland.
There’s a scale model of the church and grounds with an audio and visual presentation of its evolution from 1220.
There’s also a lady who explains much of the history which makes for a great visit.
The grounds are lovely to walk around.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Anne DoranCork, Ireland343 contributionsGlad I was in a car, because the walls are on the highest point in Youghal. It's a must when in Youghal and it's off the beaten track. There was a board with information and the walls stretch for 1 km. Lovely to see. Not my first time in Youghal, but the first time in this part of Youghal.Written 20 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gosia15 contributionsAmazing place with a huge range of handmade crafts, jewellery, natural balms and candles, spectacular art, vintage clothing and accessories and many, many more. If you are looking for a gift, that is the best place to go. If you want to treat yourself with something special, that is the best place to go.
I loved the welcome atmosphere of the gallery. The artists who run the place were very passionate and purely happy. I will come back there for sure!Written 2 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Rhubarb tart was delicious and the coffee excellent. Both were very reasonably priced.
We spent a half hour viewing the lovely pottery and paintings. We didn't buy on this occasion. We were looking for something that they didn't have.
The pottery was beautiful and well worth a look.Written 26 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
