- Bernie W2 contributionsWe attended to celebrate a family birthday for meal and drinks. Menu options were great and suited all young and old, any requests were happily accommodated. Food was lovely staff were great but Bug Shout out for the gorgeous Louise who took our booking, helped sort balloons and cake and made sure that we were very well looked after. The gardens are very beautiful. It is a long walk from the parking there, take the bus, there were many people that got stuck in the rain and heavy wind. Our little boy loved seeing everything and the staff we encountered on our visit were all lovely and friendly. Very enthusiastic about their work and told us all about what the animals eat. The mill offers an insight in the cultivation, production & use of corn & flat, both key aspects of local life in the 19th & 20th century. I would recommend to friends. The surrounding streets and laneways are narrow and most only one-way. The building itself will guide you, it is easily seen by most, if not all of the town.
Once you arrive you are rewarded with a magnificent structure. The interior was not well lite, but still a beautiful sight. - KatieNaas, Ireland1 contributionWhile the activities themselves were enjoyable, we were appalled by the manners, or lack thereof of the staff. The staff running the karting swore outright multiple times at us and were extremely aggressive. We were given no safety instructions, and no guidance as to how to operate the vehicles. Throughout the 20 minutes we were met with impatience and blatant hostility. We were astounded by the severe lack of customer service and general nastiness of the staff. I would strongly advise against visiting with young children. They gladly excepted us on tour for next day. Extremely clean bus and Paddy was the best driver- guide. Collection of guests from hotels and drop off at end of tour is a delight.
