Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A friend of mine told me about this so we stopped. So glad we did. It was very interesting and the woman that did the tour was excellent. I didn’t see it on any of the many itineraries I looked at in researching our trip.

You can only visit by tour. We arrived on our own but we joined a scheduled tour about 15 minutes later so it worked out well. You can walk around the outside of the building while you wait and they also give you an information page to read.

    Highly recommended.

Stunning, particularly in spring with the rhododendrons in flower. Walks for all abilities. River spectacular. Really worth a visit and pop into Kilcoran Lodge for a bite after.

The market was in full swing when I visited today. Not too many stalls but an interesting selection from carved wooden designs to baked goods - there is something for everyone.

Cahir Park is located in the homonymous town, not so far from Cashel, in Ireland. It is the typical park, where you can walk, relax and come with children (if it was not rain, which sometimes is difficult). Nice place to come.

While the settings has all the ingredients of a traditional irish pub, and would be lovely for a pint of irish, the food for what it is a tad expensive. The large number of pleasant staff make you feel very much welcome from you enter the front door and are extremely attentive. Only when thinking when I arrived home , what we paid for what we got, slightly off-putting , but don't let me be a spoilsport, experience for yourself.

We were traveling from the U.S. for a family reunion in Clare, and one of our teenage travelers told us that the best ice cream in Ireland is right across the street from Cahir castle. That was on our to-do list! We met the Boyle’s and sampled their wonderful ice cream(ask for the chocolate stick as well) and enjoyed the creamiest vanilla cone in Ireland!
The shop is filled with reasonably priced souvenirs and upstairs you can find lovely woolens and sweaters.
