- Kelly QSeabeck, WA, United States5 contributionsOh my! If you want to immerse yourself in Irish countryside culture this little museum is a MUST SEE! Charlie Finneran is simply priceless and his collection is as well. Totally worth the admission (€8)Written 17 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- kellytrisha2Waterford, Ireland5 contributionsReally enjoyed our visit to the farm... my 10 year old son laughed and smiled throughout. 3 bags of food given on way in to feed the animals, who are very friendly. Plenty of animals to feed and pet...goats, emu's, geese, donkey, various chick's, got to cuddle rabbits. Also monkeys, llamas, deer, wallabies and more. Plenty of shelter so no need to worry about rain...we had torrential showers. Lots of great play area's indoor and outdoor. Coffee shop. Highly recommend and would return. We spend 2.5hrs there but could have stayed all day.Written 10 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

I would totally recommend it for a fun filled day out. The booking was very easy and all the staff were very helpful and made for a very enjoyable experience. A lovely church, grand architecture and peaceful inside. Lovely crib scene and Christmas trees.Written 19 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - barrakellyDublin, Ireland188 contributionsEasy, flat looped walk. Good starting point is at the quays by the castle. The trail runs mostly along the Shannon but loops around inland by a small canal.Written 31 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CCIRL5 contributionsWe did Celtic Temple, really well made escape room with lots of excellent props. Puzzles are satisfyingly difficult, but not too hard for the level of the room. Had a great time, the owner seems really passionate about the business and escape rooms in general, very friendly and helpful. Will be back again soon.Written 4 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- d22randyAnchorage, AK224 contributionsWe had Sean's Bar on our bucket list for Ireland! What a treat! We got there not too long after they opened. We struck up a conversation with the gal at the bar and she gave us. the complete lowdown on the history of the bar. Fascinating!
I'd say Sean's has done a great job at melding the old with the new!Written 8 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Orla MDublin, Ireland114 contributionsA group of 18 of us reserved an area in The Snug for the afternoon of a hen party this weekend. We cannot thank the team enough for how well they looked after us! Right through from our initial enquiry to the day itself they went above and beyond at every turn, had the craic with us and it never for a second felt like anything was an inconvenience for them (which is no easy feat with a group of nordies requesting every cocktail under the sun!). The food options, provided by Pavarottis restaurant next door, were fantastic too and helped keep us going before we headed out for dinner in the evening. I couldn't recommend The Snug enough for any groups heading to Athlone, or even just people looking to head in for a few pints and a match. Thank you so much guys, we will 100% be back next time we're in Athlone!Written 22 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Marie K1 contributionEnjoyed this walking tour of Athlone's sights with local guide VIncent. He shared an interesting history of the town and castle, as well as entertaining stories of well known characters and connections with wider world events. - Brian M2 contributionsHere for a night out with a good pal. Was initially out for a walk but found this gem of a public house. Could hear the music and good atmosphere before I even opened the door. Started off with a lovely pint of Guinness (The best in Athlone followed by the Bailey) followed with a couple hot whiskeys. Was a great experience made even better with the service from Rob , Kellie , Shauna , James , Paddy Guinness , Neil , Seamus and Paulie T on the door. Unfortunately didn’t get to meet the fabulous Ogara brothers who iv heard so much about. Will definitely be back!!Written 4 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
