Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- sean.casaidheIreland11 contributionsMy hangout as a kid is now an actual museum and tourist attraction, and where a great job they've done. The exhibitions are fun and informative.
Go up to the high battlements and shout rude words at the people leaving masd from SS Peter & Paul, and you'll experience 1980's Athlone.Written 27 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were greeted by Charlie & Bridie proud owners of the museum. The interest and excitement was evident from the start .Firstly we browsed around before Charlie gave a very informative and interesting tour. The museum is filled with items perfectly resorted to perfection with love. The pupils asked questions and took notes .Designated areas to a cobblers, diary room,a chemist & a mini classroom were of great interest as was the sports memorabilia. The machinery , tools and a horse drawn carriage were fantastic. We spent over 2 hours and could have easily stayed longer. Thank you for taking us back in time a great experience for us all.Written 13 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joanna F1 contributionWe had so much fun and never laughed as much. My son was delighted to meet one of his favourite people that happened to be there as well 😉

- Monica1704Dublin, Ireland73 contributionsBeautiful sunny Sunday morning breakfast at Fernhill. When we arrived there was quite a long queue but it moved pretty quickly. Ordered breakfast and were seated at a lovely table in the sun by a smiling happy staff member. Our food arrived piping hot and beautifully presented. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our visit and will definately return. Wonderful display of freshly made desserts & cakes which we will try next time. Staff are pleasant and extremely helpful which is always nice to see. Well done Fernhill & Savory Fare👏🏻👏🏻🤗Written 21 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Subhasree RDublin, Ireland10 contributionsA lovely walk that has a combination of river, canal and meadow walks.
An easy walking path that is 99% flat.
some of the areas of the walk were closed and no proper signage was put in place to know it. So bear in mind you might end up walking back in the same path rather than finishing the loop.Written 13 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
