Oh my! If you want to immerse yourself in Irish countryside culture this little museum is a MUST SEE! Charlie Finneran is simply priceless and his collection is as well. Totally worth the admission (€8)

Very knowledgeable guide who gave loads of information about local walks etc.
Test you strength and lift a sword. Lots of games for the younger ones and interactive information.

I had my 60th birthday celebrations at the waterpark Park and the craic was absolutely mega. I would totally recommend it for a fun filled day out. The booking was very easy and all the staff were very helpful and made for a very enjoyable experience. Roll on my 70th

We had a lovely family day out in fernhill garden centre yesterday, the staff were extremely helpful and gave great advise on our plants. There is a very happy atmosphere around the place with cheerful music and friendly staff. The kids loved the play area as we enjoyed a coffee in the restaurant. Best of luck with the opening of the new gift shop, I can’t wait to visit again!

I was delighted to have time to pop in after visiting the castle opposite.
A lovely church, grand architecture and peaceful inside. Lovely crib scene and Christmas trees.

The gallery is located on the river and the light pouring in through the glass lined corridor is stunning in itself.

The gallery features different local artists and is well worth a visit. Some beautiful thought provoking pieces on display.

Their is currently no admission charge.

We did Celtic Temple, really well made escape room with lots of excellent props. Puzzles are satisfyingly difficult, but not too hard for the level of the room. Had a great time, the owner seems really passionate about the business and escape rooms in general, very friendly and helpful. Will be back again soon.

We had Sean's Bar on our bucket list for Ireland! What a treat! We got there not too long after they opened. We struck up a conversation with the gal at the bar and she gave us. the complete lowdown on the history of the bar. Fascinating!

I'd say Sean's has done a great job at melding the old with the new!

A group of 18 of us reserved an area in The Snug for the afternoon of a hen party this weekend. We cannot thank the team enough for how well they looked after us! Right through from our initial enquiry to the day itself they went above and beyond at every turn, had the craic with us and it never for a second felt like anything was an inconvenience for them (which is no easy feat with a group of nordies requesting every cocktail under the sun!). The food options, provided by Pavarottis restaurant next door, were fantastic too and helped keep us going before we headed out for dinner in the evening. I couldn't recommend The Snug enough for any groups heading to Athlone, or even just people looking to head in for a few pints and a match. Thank you so much guys, we will 100% be back next time we're in Athlone!

Here for a night out with a good pal. Was initially out for a walk but found this gem of a public house. Could hear the music and good atmosphere before I even opened the door. Started off with a lovely pint of Guinness (The best in Athlone followed by the Bailey) followed with a couple hot whiskeys. Was a great experience made even better with the service from Rob , Kellie , Shauna , James , Paddy Guinness , Neil , Seamus and Paulie T on the door. Unfortunately didn’t get to meet the fabulous Ogara brothers who iv heard so much about. Will definitely be back!!

Had an amazing massage - felt both energised and relaxed afterwards. This met all the covid guidelines but still provided the Spa experience.

This Spa is ridiculously PERFECT! Meticulously clean and the massage was truly amazing (Thai hot stone). I love getting a massage monthly and always when I travel … this was the best I can ever remember.

This is one of the most beautiful settings in ireland. Absolutely magnificent by the lakeshore, with superb food, relaxed and utterly professional staff. All courses were great and the sommelier gave good advice. Really couldn’t ask for any more.
