What travellers are saying
- Miriam LDublin, Ireland63 contributionsWhat a lovely morning we spent in Doreen’s beautiful gardens set in a peaceful spot of heaven. We then toured her gallery and enjoyed her fine paintings of local scenes and more. One or two ladies purchased paintings and were thrilled to have a memory of our visit to the area. Thank you Doreen for your warm welcome.Written 19 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tigs M1 contributionWhat a wonderful experience! My 2 teenage daughters and husband had never ridden before and Peter was so accomodating and patient. The horses were super well schooled and responsive and the dirt track tour was a perfect introduction with just the right amount of challenge. The views on the tour were breathtaking in between the plodding along country roads. Highly recommend!Written 22 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sheila W.Dublin2 contributionsI was pleasantly surprised by a visit to the smokehouse where information on salmon and the industry in Ireland was mixed with tasting of excellent hot and cold smoked salmon and all managed by a very friendly helpful Moldovan. I was encouraged to return and get a picnic for another day out and once again impressed by helpfulness of the host.
we almost missed the interesting backstory of the owners which could be better promoted and we all thought , we would have liked some brown bread with the tasting.Written 29 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Philip1 contributionVery interesting insight into the history of Lisdoonvarna and the Spa Wells. The volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable and the images of Lisdoonvarna in generations gone by were in particular fascinating to see. Well worth the visit!

- BrucestewartLivingston, UK8,753 contributionsWe were staying at the Imperial Hotel in Lisdoonvarna for 4 nights and as there really isn't much to do in the village we decided after dinner each evening to visit one or more of the local pubs in turn.
Given the memorabilia throughout this pub it is clearly dedicated to Glasgow Celtic Football Club. I therefore kept very quiet about my preference for rugby over football and that I don't think I have attended a football match since the early 1960s. Nor have I watched any football on TV since Scotland's dismal performance in Argentina in 1978.
The pub was pleasant enough for a drink and the Guinness was better than in some of the pubs that we visited during our trip to Ireland. It was also slightly cheaper than the other pubs in Lisdoonvarna.Written 16 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
