Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited in the fall. The entrance fee is very reasonable. There is a little exhibit and washrooms in the reception. The ruins are pretty and there are information panels and displays in part of the ruins. It's likely to take you under an hour to do the whole thing.

The views were lovely. The trees and the flowers were beautiful. On the other hand the map wasn't very clear needed to be oriented better. Apart from that every else was fine. Would return again

We only went to The lady Helen restaurant.Sadly we were not staying there, From the second we entered, everyone was so pleasant, courteous and professional and friendly at the same time. We had the tasting menu.Although we’ve had many tasting experiences in a selection of Michelin star restaurants,in our opinion, this was certainly the best. It was a pleasant surprise to see the head chef,John Kelly, serving the most delicious veal,he spoke to every table. ,we were very impressed with him and he was so unpretentious and humble. There isn’t one single thing I could criticise, The staff really did make our night.Thank you to every single person.

What a fantastic little gem in Thomastown. The fact that it's up near the top of the street might mean it's easily missed but we were delighted to have found it. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside and had a stroll around the lovely quirky garden and a good look at the plants for sale. It has wonderful staff who are part of the Camphill Community and that made it even more special for us.

After spending the morning in Kilkenny we stopped here for lunch. Plenty of parking hardly anyone visits many picnic tables and an excellent view , as we can not get enough of old stuff, especially castles. The attraction is not life changing however worth a visit.

14th Century church, hidden from the main road, incredible how so much of it is still intact. The priest house attached to the church is nearly complete. Most impressivly is the Effigy of the Knight, believed to be a Lord Cantwell, and locally known as Long Cantwell

This lovely pub in the heart of Thomastown is a lovely place to go for a bevvie if your in the area. Although the bar area is quite small it has a lovely feel to it. The staff are very friendly and will always serve you with a smile. Out the back there is a large function room which can accommodate functions, parties etc. it over looks the river barrow and has a lovely scenic view. Across the road is a statue of the very famous Kilkenny Hurling Goalkeeper and former manager the great Ollie Walsh.

After 2 days in Dublin we took a 6 day trip with Anthony as our driver on day 1 then Max took over for the remainder of our trip. We went from Dublin to Cashel, Cork, Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Galway, Kildare and eventually back to Dublin and we hit all the tourist spots and amazing towns along the way. Max was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions for things to see and great places to eat along the way. After learning that one of our party was a retired firefighter he surprised us with a stop at the 9/11 fallen firefighter memorial which was amazing. Our favorite stop was the Dingle Peninsula, it was so beautiful and if we had it to do over we would have spent more time there. We highly recommend Anthony and Max and would definitely use their service again.
