Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Great idea for spending an hour doing something different with the kids. We have a 4 and 2 year old and they really enjoyed it. The boat is really straight forward to drive and the guide was full of interesting info.Written 30 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ever visited somewhere and thought how wonderful it would be to immerse yourself deeply into its 'story', to get to the essence of the place and its people, but you're only there for a short visit and you don't know any locals - impossible you say? Well, not any longer in West Cork, one of Ireland's most scenic locales with its rich culture of food and archaeology. Culture Kitchen distills a unique snapshot of the area's artisan food scene along with its embarrassing riches of archaeological monuments scattered across the landscape in these guided tours.
As a local foodie eager to know more about my home place, I soaked up the knowledge of guides Aine and Val as they took us through the countryside bringing it to life through their extensive knowledge of its archaeology, history, folklore, food pioneers and local characters through the ages. Rest assured, the knowledge is carried lightly and shared readily through anecdotes and recitations that leave you entertained and eager to learn more.
Visiting the artisan food producers, pioneers and innovators from Ireland and overseas, all plying crafts both ancient and contemporary, and hearing their tales of work and life on the edge of Europe while tasting their unique foods, was actually a moving experience. I connected and reconnected with this place so familiar on the one hand and yet seen anew through the filter of these fascinating people and unspoiled places, many completely off the beaten track. Take your family, bring your partner or go alone (you won't be for long), but whatever you do, come rail, hail or shine, go on a Culture Kitchen tour when you're in West Cork - you'll be very glad you did.Written 15 July 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - It was a great pleasure to spend the day with Denis O'Sullivan. Everything was just fabulous. The guide, his knowledge of the history and his country, the service, the car. We will definitely call him again for another tour. We wish Denis all the best for his business, his family and his future. Thank you once again Denis!Written 10 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
