Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you visit Kinsale, the Kinsale Mead Company is a must-do. The tour starts out with a fascinating history of mead, then a walk through of the distilling process and finally a tasting. You can buy several varieties of mead as well as the honey it’s made from.

Booked as part of a hen do activity, Ann was absolutely fabulous in our 2 hour workshop, incredibly knowledgable and helpful as well as lovely! We had a great time making plaques, mugs & a lovely touch for Ann to help us make a keepsake too. Would highly recommend if you’re in Kinsale.

Walking around the old part of town is a pleasure, we came across this church and in we went .
What a lovely old church with a great history, built on the site of the first church built by St. Multose in the 6 century.
The present church was built in 1190.
This is one of Irelands oldest churches.
It was here that Charles 11 was declared King of England in 1649
A must place to spend time when in town

Truly, the most beautiful golf course I’ve ever seen or played. Blew my mind, and that was playing 6 holes in the fog!! Brian my caddie was a joy to be with and the vibes could not have been better. Do yourself a favor and eat the sausage wrap at the turn. The overall experience is 10/10. From the clubhouse, to the Proshop, and of course THAT golf course. Worth every penny.

So sorry to hear you are closed for the season but...
I was able to order Blacks in the restaurants around town. Also found in the grocery stores. So not all was lost. Great beers and the tour is a reason to comeback to Kinsale next year! Keep up the amazing work.

Today was our second visit to the Bulman on a Sunday for lunch in last month. It is dog friendly and today we brought our nephew from U.K. he declared the best honeycomb cheesecake ever. We both had the crab and smoked salmon ( same last time) and mom had the special of monkfish and scampi ( last time she declared best calamari ever). The food was amazing. Today it was very packed ( even restaurant upstairs) as there was a special family event.

It was just amazing again and prices reasonable ( specials pricey). The burger at the table next looked amazing.

Beautiful venue. Great food and service. Highly recommend. Twice now in last few weeks it has been excellent.

Actually cannot recommend this pub more. The bar man was great. So welcoming and pulls a great pint of Murphy's :) Definitely hit this place up if you like a pub. We went in October and the place was packed and the fire was on. Great spot.

Kinsale is a lovely little town and is lucky enough to have its own family-owned hand-cut crystal shop. The glass is hand blown in another Irish town but the cutting is done in Kinsale. The quality is excellent and the prices are very affordable. The staff is _very_ friendly and definitely not overly pushy about buying something. I think they're just happy to chat.

We bought a 'Harmony Collection' decanter and had it shipped back to the United States-- shipping was reasonable. We asked that they not ship for 10 days as we didn't want it to arrive while we were still in Ireland, and they were happy to oblige.

An hour later we were down the street a bit at a woolens shop and my wife liked a small light wool blanket. Not wanting to carry it with us and not wanting to pay another shipping fee, we walked back across the street to Kinsale Crystal and asked if they would ship it with the decanter. They of course agreed and, so, we got the wool blanket.

The decanter, in bubble wrap and then wrapped in the wool blanket, arrived undamaged a week after we got home.

I expect to buy myself a couple Harmony whiskey tumblers for Christmas.

Seemed to be the most crowded spot in Kinsale. Live music was good covers and lots of people dancing. Quick bar service.

Love this little shop. Have bar chocolate as well as truffles - I am typically not a fan of chocolates with filling but these are lovely and beautifully created. The book box is a gift in itself and the surprising flavors are fun to share. Don’t forget to get a chocolate shot to go.

As Rick Steves book says, Barry's Historic stroll is "The single best attraction in Kinsale." Barry was witty, charming, and all around delightfully entertaining as he fascinated us with centuries of information, pirates and smugglers included. I inadvertently dropped 140 Euros after paying him. He asked a nearby shop owner to replay his security camera footage and saw that it was the gray bearded man in the wide brimmed, white hat with the woman in an orange coat. He put out a notice on the Kinsale social media to find us. Several people notified him as we went into shops but we left too quickly. That evening, the hostess in Katie O"Seas restaurant handed me a phone saying Barry Maloney for you. The next morning, we said, "Barry, You keep half for your kindness and effort." When he refused, we said, "What about a charity." He said, "It's destiny!! and pointed to two grade school boys collecting donations for Cancer Research." We are amazed at his and the people of Kinsale's kindness and wish to thank them. Bernard "Rusty" and Nancy Sullivan, Leawood, Kansas USA

Standard Irish pub meeting all the expectations. There are plenty of tables in the side room or towards the back. Bar service is fast. They poured me a Shamrock Guinness which I heard was a bit of a tourist thing but the place was filled with locals.

Had the pleasure of having both Suzanne and Siobhan as my guides. Perfect mix of the history of Kinsale, local knowledge and excellent food. Perfect way to meet new people.
