Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Chiara F4 contributionsBeautiful pub right on the water across from the town of Kinsale. We tasted various seafood dishes and all were great as was the service.
we had no reservation and yet they did their best to seat us as quickly as they could. Would definitely go back when in the areaWritten 9 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We really enjoyed the tour and ended up purchasing Barry's book.
In the past when we have purchased books on our travels, they have largely gone unread. Maybe browsed through, but unread.
But I am writing to tell you that we read every page of Barry's book on the history of Kinsale and thoroughly enjoyed it. On two car trips, I took your book along, and I read the book aloud as my partner drove. I personally chuckled at the tales of Anne Bonny (what a gal!). We had no idea that Kinsale has such a rich and interesting background.
Thanks for such an interesting book and for your fun tour experience.Written 1 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We came with a group of 30 people, and Suzanne organized two private tours for our group. We had a wonderful time, and, because we were a private tour, I was very impressed by how her food partners handled everyone’s allergy requests (we had four different allergies). That isn’t easy, but every venue managed it with grace and kindness. The food itself was delicious at every stop. We had many foodies in our group, and to a person, everyone loved the offerings. Kinsale itself is charming with a breathtaking location on the harbor.
Adrian was a wonderful guide for our morning group. Please let him know how appreciative we are for his knowledge of Kinsale history, its food, and his great humor. Suzanne took the later group. All of them sang her praises. Her sense of humor was hugely enjoyed.
As our organizer, I was especially grateful to Suzanne, and how she handled our unwieldy gang with professionalism, allowing us to enjoy Kinsale, its fascinating history, and its legendary cuisine. I can say that no one left hungry.
Again, thank you for making our time in Kinsale fun and enlightening - a feast for the body and mind.Written 1 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
