Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Dave AEssex, UK7 contributionsDaltons Bar.
Well a great place to rest and enjoy Kinsale.
2 nights and Daltons is clean and comfortable , and in the middle of this fantastic area.
Could not have been made more welcome by the owners, and we watched the Ireland v Scotland World Cup rugby match in the bar, along with 100 Kinsale residents, who sang and cheered there team to victory.
If you looking for comfortable accommodation in the right place in Kinsale look no further.
Big thanks to Mr And Mrs Dalton.

The Bulman Bar is steeped in tradition, full of character, has history in abundance and with an atmosphere that cannot be described. All of this as a result of time and tradition.
Uniquely situated on the outskirts of Kinsale, looking across the harbour to the town and next to Charles Fort, the Bulman Bar is a mere 10 meters from the Atlantic Ocean, in the scenic village of Summercove. Whether you drop in for a drink, or a bite to eat, a welcoming log fire greets you.

- pfefmeisterSan Francisco, CA4,374 contributionsWe stumbled upon this pub just off the main drag, and were rewarded with a bustling scene of happy folks overflowing unto the outdoor patio out front. Fun time, alas, no food.Written 13 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RoadWarrier99999Isle of Palms, SC524 contributionsDropped in for a pint after a drive from Dublin. We appreciated the chance to dip into a nice local pub and avoid the bus trip folks. A couple of nicely built Guinness’s for my sons and me, a reasonable chardonnnay for my bride and we left refreshed.
Highly recommended.Written 23 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Bar service is fast. They poured me a Shamrock Guinness which I heard was a bit of a tourist thing but the place was filled with locals.Written 22 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DavidjellisLowestoft, UK9,473 contributionsMy wife and I stopped here for a drink during a short stop in Kinsale as part of a cruise ship excursion from Cobh. We just wanted a drink and our tour guide suggested the pub as one serving a good pint of the local brew Beamish. We hadn't made any table reservations and the pub was busy but a member of staff told us there was a table for two available in the rear beer garden so we stayed and enjoyed a drink.
We found the pub a little quirky with posters and knickknacks on display and an interesting collection of pictures and artefacts linked to the 911 attacks on display near the toilets. We didn't eat here so cannot review the catering but it was a lovely stop with a good pint and the staff were really helpful and friendly.Written 26 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
