Tripadvisorās approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- BerryvilletravelerBerryville, VA8 contributionsWe visited Clonakilty in October and the centre was closed (off season). However, an email to the centre (Tim Crowley) offered a quick response and we booked a private tour for our party of five. We drove in our car and Tim drove in his. We stopped at four locations and learned about every phase of Michael Collinsā life. It was 3.5 hours and was one of the best tours we had in Ireland. My 8 year old son enjoyed it and Tim kept his attention. Tim was incredibly knowledgeable and very hospitable.Written 25 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pompeygirl1972Hastings, UK267 contributionsWhat a stunning beach and the views were spectacular
We arrived during a week of sun āļø and had 3 visits, the first to find out bearing and then 2 other visits to swim. One day being amazing sunshine and the other a bit cloudy and very choppy with huge waves
Lots of surfers and people on boards enjoying the waves, we just enjoyed jumping them.
Was still warm enough to swim
Free parking is great, a little place to grab coffee and nibbles next to the hotel which must have stunning views

- Sandra HThompsonville, MI276 contributionsThe day we booked our tour, we had the entire place to ourselves. What a beautiful distillery and our tour guide (forgive me I forgot her name) did an amazing job from start to finish. The tastings were great, and they have a really lovely giftshop to spend some time in at the end. I can see now why this distillery gets such great reviews!Written 2 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michelle E5 contributionsThoroughly enjoyed my foodie walk around Clonakilty. Informative, great value and lots of different foods to try: ice-cream, sausages, black pudding, chocolate, bread, cake, beer and more (not all at the same time š) The group size of 14 was just right and Kate was an engaging and knowledgeable guide. Would definitely recommend.Written 6 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
