It's the first of the year. This review is for the beach not the village. I'm isolating and have not gone any where this year. I just finished my beach walk -sunshine, rainbows , hail, rain, ocean. Who could ask for more. The beach walk can be as long as you want it. I generally do a 5k which parallels the dunes of the golf course or out to the pier and along the promenade.Hopefully I'll be able to get out and about once the restrictions are gone.

Took our two canine friends for a walk here while on holidays in Enniscrone during the 2018 heatwave.
It's a lovely short walk which is well shaded and clean and dry underfoot suitable for all abilities. At the end there is access to the water's edge and you can walk along the shore for a little. Very scenic and good for kids.

Pool is small, same depth (1.1m) the whole way across. Definitely just for kids entertainment, not designed for swimming lengths etc. Has a nice water slide. And what seemed like a good kids pool with a pirate ship, small slide and mushroom fountain. There is a Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna for over 16s. The dressing rooms are pretty dirty though and long overdue an update. Grand to pass an hour on a wet day but bring flip flops!.

We have stayed in Cahermore several times and the houses are very dated, although we have stayed in a renovated one that was beautiful. The upside down layout doesn’t suit everyone as you enter on the middle level with the living area up a fight of stairs and bedrooms / bathrooms are downstairs from the entrance so 2 flights below the living area. Communal grounds do mean that you have to keep the bedroom curtains closed for privacy as people can walk close to the window. That said, it’s more of an issue in summer when the close is busier as out of season it’s very quiet. I wouldn’t recommend using the washing machines as the utility room is very damp but their is a launderette in Emniscrone. The location is fantastic though with views of the ocean fro the living area and just a short walk to the pier and a few minutes more to the beach. The swimming centre is through a path just behind which is also a shortcut to the shops

    Relaxing and fun.

Didn't know what to expect except seaweed was used.

The place hasn't changed in years like a 1940/1950s film set but that is party of the character of the place.

Settled into the seaweed bath for a long (1 hour) soak where you can top up the water with both hot and cold. Followed by an old fashioned steam box session and then a cold shower with water pumped straight from the sea.

    A must visit

A proper test of golf today,19th May.
Very windy, but warm and then got very sunny.
What a golf course hidden away in Co Sligo, we were a party of 8 from London and it was so challenging in the wind but so awesomely different and in brilliant condition. We hadn't played it since 2019 but it was worth the wait thanks to Covid.
A must of a visit for any golfer who's golfing skills will be severely tested.
Until our next visit and thanks to the pro staff girls, excellent service.

I had just arrived in Enniscrone and walked in without a reservation. It was a Thursday night but school was out that week and they were very busy. The Hostess (don't remember her name) told me to wait a few mins and she gave me a table in the corner opposite the Bar. I did have to wait a little while for service which was understandable but I can't say enough about the place. I had the smoked black pudding starter followed by the seafood linguine paired with a glass, or two of the pino grigio . Both dishes were excellent and the waitress was friendly and efficient. If you are looking for great food, service at a reasonable price in a nice atmosphere then this is the place to go. Loved it.

We had a great morning with the lads at Harbour Sup and Sail. After a quick lesson by the pier Edward took us futher out and once we were standing we were free to explore the bay by ourselves. It was fab, we saw a couple of dolphins and a seal kept popping up beside us. The views were amazing and the boys were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I called the surf school on the morning of our trip to Ballina as its only about 15mins drive away and luckily they had 2 places available. We rocked up at the time, got our wetsuits and boards and got some initial tutorial. The surf school were very friendly and chatty giving us some tips as we went along. Then we were let off into the waves. It was great fun and my son really enjoyed the surf good waves. It was fairly safe as it quite easy to stay in your depth and still get waves. Definitely will be doing it again on our next day trip to enniscrone. Good value, good fun and nice team...

A pleasure to visit. Super nice owners that were really welcoming. The course was excellent fun and well kept. As a returning golfer partnered with a first timer it was fun for both of us. Perfect solution as either the next step from a driving range or to work on that short game.
