Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a wonderful museum. Davitt was an extraordinary man who had an extraordinary story. The museum is not large, but contains vast information. The video shown gives an excellent synopsis of his life. We were so happy our tour guide, Therese, was as knowledgeable as she was and and so easy to chat with. She made us feel comfortable and answered so many questions. We were so impressed with the staff and the museum. I had been here before, about 5 years before, and the museum continually updates their materials. Wonderful experience!!!

Lovely scenic area. Nice views of the river Moy, a few good walks near the town and a couple of nice beaches at Lough Conn. The small town is popular with fishermen and people visiting the local wollen mills.

I Visited Foxford Woolen mills today and had the pleasure of meeting Michael whom hand crafts the jewellery. Every item in there is stunning and unique. I have been looking for a Claddagh ring for some time now and I was thrilled to see the selection of exquisite rings there. Thank you Michael for the warm welcome and the knowledge of jewellery that helped me pick out my perfect Ring. I highly recommend a visit.

Before I went in I was unsure if I'd heard of Admiral Brown, but after going in and seeing the care and attention that the people who set up this place have put into it I bought a book and wanted to find out more about the man in the museum. Excellent place to stop and we just stumbled across it and the lady we spoke to in there was very helpful!

Nice walk with a couple of steep hills. Mostly along quite country roads which turn into a farm/bog road at one point. Plenty of cows and donkey's to be seen along the route.

Fabulous church, lovely grounds and ample parking. The church was very comfortable and on a chilly autumn day it was lovely and warm.

14 of spent the weekend here and it didn't disappoint. On arrival to this beautiful home, good sized rooms that can accommodate everyone. Harry and Bridget were great hosts. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of options for everyone including gluten free options. Foxford village is only a 10 minute walk from the house and worth checking out especially the Wooden Mill. Karaoke on Friday was some crack. Suffice to say the murder mystery experience on Saturday in the hotel was unreal. Our host Ray was so much fun and made experience so enjoyable. The meal was omg so delicious and plenty to eat. First time to do this and whole weekend was so relaxing and enjoyable. Would highly recommend this to everyone. đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

This place felt like a home from home, warm, friendly people. The best tasting Guinness and a hot port that I will be back to taste again. Absolutely wonderful pub that you really don’t find the likes of anymore.

The best fishing tackle & wet fish shop in the west. PJ & Michael have all the up to date information and permits for the west of Ireland and can arrange boatmen, bait, flys, tackle, infact everything yo will ever need to fish this area. They also have a fresh fish counter with some of the nicest fresh fish you could ask for, so fresh and tasty. Next time you are in Foxford pop in and see them.
