Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Tara GDublin30 contributionsGreat walk. Amazing views in clear weather. Parking, portaloos and coffee truck there. Had been heavy rain the day before we went and the track was mucky in places.Written 19 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jeannep24Dublin, Ireland89 contributionsVery easy access to this tidal pool. The area is accessible for a wheel chair.
We were there at sunrise, although the weather was quite cloudy.
The water was a bit crisp, but we still made it in!
A great experience that one must try!Written 31 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Hard to see the turn up onto the dunes from the beach. Walk continues by a large pond too. Historic graveyard at the start of the walk.Written 19 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- C D86 contributionsIt has been 30 years since i have been to Ceathru Thaidhg. While it is more build up than i remeber with footpaths and street lights the views are still as spectacular, The drive was worth it off the Belmullet Killala road.Written 19 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Axell33Baldivis, Australia804 contributionsWe arrived out here to do a bit of a hike after a long drive to find this cool surprise. We spent sometime just exploring the area. The scenery is beautiful and the setting has a mystical feel about it. It is a great spot for some scenic photo, especially around sunset. If you have some spare time whilst in the area, this is place worth having a look at.Written 20 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Darren Ó1 contributionÁit bhreá, seascair, fháiltiúil agus spéisiúil inar féidir neart eolais a fháil nach bhfuil le fáil in áit ar bith eile. A wonderful, warm, welcoming and interesting place with tonnes of information that can't be found anywhere else. Pádhraic and Kathryn have put together an amazing collection of local information surrounding the Irish language, local folklore, maritime history and genealogy which has attracted people from America to Russia. Always ready with a cup of tea and a chat i nGaeilge or in English and a wonderful lens to the traditional way of life and the music and poetry that people created in that part of the world as well as displaying the wonderful achievements of the Irish diaspora.Written 18 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Norman H15 contributionsJust arrived in Ireland and wanted that first Guinness. What a lucky stop, so welcoming to the family, I can see why no one wants to leave the bar. Would have loved a bit more time to go back.Written 31 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Cathy D32 contributionsVisited centre for a bit of lunch and a game of bowling. The soup was piping hot but there was no gluten free bread available with it. This was very disappointing as it's easy to access gluten free products and bread can be easily frozen and defrosted. The bowling was great fun and the guy in charge was very helpful and friendly. I had contacted the centre by email prior to visiting to ask about opening times on God Friday and their response was very prompt. Toilet facilities were very clean.Written 19 April 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
