Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a fun activity. Beautiful location on the edge of Dingle at the bay. If you’re doing the Slea Head Drive, it’s right at the beginning of the drive, across from the brewery. So you can do this then take the drive. It’s about an hour and all of us really enjoyed it.

Church was a standing ancient church outside of Dingle near an end of Slea Head Drive. It is a fully intact stone structure, including roof. There is a small ancient cemetery attached to the location. The facility offers a video overview as well. They are more than accommodating and permit the cars of those who cannot walk the distance to drive up much closer.

A wonderful experience, friendly staff. Enjoyable day out for all the family. Very informative guide who was patient and kind with our younger members and very knowledgable for the older ones.

Great spur-of-the-moment decision to do this hike. Bring €2 cash per person and some shoes you don't mind getting wet! We tried our best to avoid the sheep piles but being able to rinse and brush our shoes off before getting back into the rental car was a very nice surprise. Took about an hour round-trip with some time spent at the top marveling at the views. Short but a little steep!

Went with group of four around the entire island of Ireland, and this was one guy's favorite thing we did. Absolutely beautiful beach. Loved it!

Pretty cool little church ruins located on the road to Dingle. Very easy to access with some parking on site. I spent about 30 minutes taking photos and admiring the architecture of the structure. Great window frames and door frames. No roof. Very good carvings to be seen. Don't miss this one.

First-time and worth it! But once you have seen it then that's all you need. Nice to connect the movie with a real life set.

Very beautiful coastal area. Be sure to go out on a boat to fully take in the beauty of all of the cliffs. We did the one hour tour with Dingle Dolphin Tours. Didn’t see dolphins but it’s ok as there was plenty to see

The Irish Famine Cottages located here are a rustic memorial as a reminder of the tragedy of the famines. These cottages are becoming more rare in Ireland as many have been demolished due to lack of care and to make room for more modern structures. The main cottage here was built in the 1840's, it is an example of one of the earliest slated roofs on a cottage.

This is also a site of a small animal park, the animals were very friendly.

My annual trip to Ireland is never complete without a trip to Dingle. Dingle never fails to provide great craic! My first stop is always to the Dingle Tourist Office to see what is new and say hello to the amazing and friendly staff. The ladies have become my annual friends especially Maura who is so welcoming and knowledgeable of Dingle and the area. The Dingle Tourist Office, and Maura, are the gateway to a wonderful Dingle experience!

I visited Fairyfort with my wife, kids (14, 11, 7yo), and parents (70s). This was a surprise stop that our driver selected because he thought that it would be perfect for my 7yo. I thought that it might be pleasant, but the actual experience was much better than anticipated.

On entry, one receives a small container of animal feed and then just traipses about the fairy fort feeding and petting the various animals. There were sheep (including lambs), goats (including kids), ponies, donkeys, alpacas, and pigs. The animals were obviously used to human interaction, and one got much more than just hunger. The animals were so quirky and distinctive. One goat would only eat out of the container, not out of hands, and communicated this with nudges and emotion ears, surprisingly quite clearly. A large pig and one of my sons completely hit it off, and the pig followed him around for ear scratches and camaraderie long after he was out of food. My mom was adopted in a similar way by a lamb. Having grown up on a farm around animals, I was stricken by how much these animals felt like 'our' animals in such short order. They seemed extremely happy, and the area was clean (with allowances for obvious vagaries of mammals running free).

The fairy fort itself is distinctive and interesting, if largely overgrown. There is some information given about what it was for, and I thought that it was intriguing to stand in the fort, or on its wall, and imagine life during its use. Its presence puts this attraction over the top in my mind.

In sum, we really enjoyed this stop: what was proposed as an activity for our 7yo became a family favorite on what was an overall amazing trip to the Dingle Peninsula. This stop is neither long nor expensive.

I like that you are allowed to walk around the site and experience this unusual venue instead of seeing through a wire fence. Very interesting stop, though not well signed. We followed Rick Steve’s directions to get there. Great stop.

I went on a 2.5 hour ride on the Shamrock trail and highly recommend Dingle Horse Riding. The trail has stunning views and my guide tailored my ride to my level. I wish I had had a chance to canter a little more but that's mostly on me because I initially told her that I wanted to start off a bit slow since it had been a while since I'd had the chance to ride. And to end the ride with some tea and a yummy scone was perfect.
