Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An outstanding structure. So much history to learn about. I was doubtful I could manage the walk to the site, so I asked the attendant how far it was. He offered to open the gate and allow us to drive to the location. You must be careful as people are walking along the same road/path. Only parking for maybe 2 cars. Please do not miss this bit of history just because you may think it is beyond your physical abilities as all you have to do is ask the staff. Now you may have to wait a bit if it is busy.

This place will never leave me. An easy, charming walk to the top, and when I crested the hilltop, I just teared up with joy. The oqnwea

Visited this beach while on the Slea Head Drive with family. It was a wild and windy day and the crashing waves combined with the sun were stunning. Beautiful views!

Dingle is one of my favourite Irish towns. The harbour has many working fishing boats, is well-lit and safe to walk around. Many of the boats are colourful - great photo ops.

So much history as you circle the peninsula, with this stop being one of my favorites. Again, great stonework in an ancient graveyard, with spectacular vistas over the countryside. Fortunately, you are able to walk inside, though it seems it could crumble at any moment. Don’t miss this stop.

We stopped to view the ruins here. You park in a small lot across the road, walk to the entrance and pay the a few euros per person to enter, walk up a hill( about 2-4 minutes) and then you are there. It is not large and spending 20-30 minutes is about right. Very interesting. The views are also nice from the hill

The Irish Famine Cottages located here are a rustic memorial as a reminder of the tragedy of the famines. These cottages are becoming more rare in Ireland as many have been demolished due to lack of care and to make room for more modern structures. The main cottage here was built in the 1840's, it is an example of one of the earliest slated roofs on a cottage.

This is also a site of a small animal park, the animals were very friendly.

You don’t need to be a child to visit here, we loved walking round feeding all the different animals that come running up to you expecting a treat. They’re all so cute and really fun to be around. Take the time to visit, feed the animals and take in the breathtaking views, you’ll be so glad you did…

I like that you are allowed to walk around the site and experience this unusual venue instead of seeing through a wire fence. Very interesting stop, though not well signed. We followed Rick Steve’s directions to get there. Great stop.

    Shop owner and Drum artisan,
Malachy Kearns, was very hospitable. He explained about the bodhrán drums and the designs. He also gave us some pointers on local sights.

We were lucky to start the sunniest day of our trip with the Dingle Sea Safari. This 3 hour boat tour around the Dingle Peninsula was one of, if not, the highlight of our Ireland travels. Our captain, Colm, was fantastic - raised in Dingle he had a love for his home and a deep respect & knowledge of the wildlife. Witnessing Slea Head from the sea was breathtaking as Colm took us into caves and educated us about the geology & history of Ireland.

The trip only got more exciting when we met the hundreds of seals lazing on the beach. Hearing them all barking & waddling was a joy to see. A few of the pups would playfully pop their heads up closer to the boat.

We then witnessed the Puffins & other seabirds, before finally sighting a family of dolphins. Nothing could describe the wonder of witnessing these incredible creatures popping up alongside the boat. Every passenger seemed to revert to a child-like state with goofy grins all over our faces which only grew when we set our sights on a minke whale. Colm took his time to make sure we spent time with them. The lady beside me was in tears stating that it was a dream come true

If you love nature, history & the wind in your face - this is a must for your travels. Colm was a skilled driver and they provide all the necessary coats, pants & life preservers to make it a comfortable & safe experience.
