Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

    My favourite pub in Dingle.
Very different kind of atmosphere. Half hardware shop and half pub.
Large open fire, reasonably priced drinks. Great staff. Covered area to drink at back of bar outside.
    Relaxing atmosphere

Our tour guide recommended that we stop in to hear some good Irish music. We got to listen to Tommy O'Sullivan & Caroline Keane play for more than 2 hours. We were thrilled to see them in person and loved hearing them play. We wanted authentic Irish music, and this was it!

When in Dingle, a visit to Neligan's is a must. We were told to get there early to get a good seat. We came early enough to get the best seats in the house right next to the dance floor. We enjoyed a couple of beers and chatted with the bartender. Finally, people began filling up the place in a rather short time. The dancing was spectacular. It was also not for the beginner. These dancers are fantastic and they dance fast. I learned square dancing in high school so I was familiar with some of the moves. The caller was wonderful. She explained the name of the dance, its origin, and the necessary moves. While I did not dance one step, I was worn out from watching. The Begley family has done a great job at keeping this Irish tradition alive and making Neligan's Bar an absolute must!

We came here around 12 on our Monday night visit. Door staff are professional and sound. Bar staff efficient and know their stuff. Unreal duo on an accordion and acoustic (can I have the band name please?) got everyone dancing for the whole night. A great night of dancing and music

This may not be the fanciest or most popular bar in Dingle, but it does have the heart and soul of the people. We were too early to enjoy any music, but I have been told this place rocks. We came in here at the start of happy hour for a pre-dinner drink. My wife and I felt at home with the locals. I would come back if I had more time in Dingle.

I decided to visit J. Curran's Shop & Bar after seeing "The Irish Pub," a 2013 documentary on Netflix. This is one of the few remaining traditional pubs of Ireland and its a place to go to see locals gather, rather than to be entertained. It has small enclosed spaces in the front and back of the pub that are for patrons to conduct business (and apparently arrange marriages in the old days).

This place is not for you if you're looking for something flashy or if you want to be pampered. This is a place to get a glimpse of the past in a way.

The interior is dated and the patrons consisted of older men, a couple of younger women and a toddler. It was neat to just see people sit back, have a pint or two of Guinness and chat with others - sometimes the person next to them and other times across the bar.

The female bartender chimed in with the rest of them and the pub had a comfortable, friendly feel. Having said that, the staff at the traditional pubs aren't likely to come chat you up and ask you for your order. Instead, they carry on with whatever they are doing until they catch your eye. They do not come to you (unless you're sitting directly at the bar), you go to them to order and to pay.

We had a wonderful evening at John Benny's Pub! The food was outstanding. The pints were perfect. The service was impeccable and friendly. And the music...Eilis Kennedy, Gerry O'Beirne, and Teresa Horgan were absolutely brilliant! It was pure magic!

Don’t be put off by the outside of this place - as you walk through the doors you are entering a different world. It feels warm and welcoming and the tables are not cramped together.
There was thankfully a vegan cheese option for me which melted beautifully on my pizza.
The pizza itself had a lovely variety of toppings and the wine and beer selection were great.
The chocolate desert we had was outstanding and as a bonus it was vegan!

The Dingle Pub is a very traditional Irish Pub that has a lot of character. My wife and I had a different sandwich special each. The sandwiches were simple, but good. Prices were a little on the high side, as lunch run about 35 € with tip.

Wonderful every Tuesday evening with guitar music and audience participation singing or playing your own instrument in a homey coffee house candlelit atmosphere. All types of music welcome. Really unique in Dingle . No pressure. Mostly locals but very very welcoming to tourists. Give it a try even if not a natural ham.

Our tour guide recommended this pub for good Irish music. Tom Delany was playing pipes along with a fiddle player. We were able to sit right next to Tom as they played. We had never seen Irish pipes being played, and Tom was happy to answer our questions. The lively Irish tunes kept our feet tapping the whole time. The pub service was awesome as well!
