Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- suzanneManilva, Spain3 contributionsGreat night, great session in a proper pub with talented musicians, friendly locals and great banter. We will be back some day!Written 25 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- travelinbluesgalCambridge, MA212 contributionsExcellent music. Good craic. We had seen the owner perform at the St. James Church concert series and came over afterward. If you want to see traditional Irish music and incredible musicians, this is the place to go. It is cash only so make sure to bring some with you.Written 4 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KelseySunrise, FL20 contributionsGreat pint of guinness, friendly locals, and we loved the hardware side of the pub!! - judytravels81Wakefield, MA64 contributionsWalked in on a great session! We were so surprised when all the activity moved to back and the set dancing started. We had so much fun watching all the dancers.Written 16 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Neil CMitcheldean, UK23 contributionsThis is a traditional Irish selling drink but not food. Good mix of visitors and locals presided over by Fergus the landlord. Flagstone floors, spotlessly clean toilets and an outdoor area for fine weather. A good selection of beers and spirits I would recommend the Guinness. For those who prefer a short there is a large selection of Irish whiskeys some very rare. This is our local on our visits to Dingle and never bettered. Live traditional Irish music several nights a week. Fantastic!Written 7 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jkh401k3 contributionsIreland has its own time zone where it's like the opposite of a "New York minute". Have been to The Small Bridge pub a few times and enjoyed them all. Sure service is slow but don't visit the island if you're in a hurry. Cows and sheep will move along when they're ready. I very much look forward to surrendering to the slower pace was it does wonders for my blood pressure. - jerrys01Bel Air, MD549 contributionsThe Dingle Pub is a very traditional Irish Pub that has a lot of character. My wife and I had a different sandwich special each. The sandwiches were simple, but good. Prices were a little on the high side, as lunch run about 35 € with tip.Written 21 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - U2fan64 contributionsFood for six of us was nice. Above average. Would go again. Service very good and staff very friendly. For any Peig Sayers followers then this place was where she was in aimsir!!Written 14 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gnome46Halesworth, UK27 contributionsReally good menu with lots of choices for us vegetarians! The starter portions were big (be warned!) and the pizza was delicious. Great service too. Would definitely recommend.Written 19 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michelle M1 contributionThe best part of the experience was Gregorio (I think that is his name!). We got there a few minutes before it opened, and he flashed three fingers through the window to indicate the bar would open in three minutes. As it was raining a bit, we went to stand under a roof overhang a few shops down. True to his timing, he opened the door and waved us in as if we were old friends. I don't know that I have ever felt so welcome at any establishment! And it was especially welcome as we had just been to the famous hardware store bar where we were ignored. So glad we chose to come here instead. As was mentioned in another review, the drinks are excellent, and freshly made. Gregorio went out to get Silver Patron tequila from storage and made the best margarita I have had. Cool in a whiskey and Guiness drinking country.
I will be back someday soon and drive the Ring of Kerry which Gregorio insisted was a crime that I did not.Written 19 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Traditional music (including a Bodhran – amazing performance) and Irish dancing! Do arrive early because it was packed by the time we came in. The bar staff were friendly and made you feel welcome, the atmosphere was laid back and the beer and whiskey selection were on point. Would highly recommend!Written 19 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- pfefmeisterSan Francisco, CA2,836 contributionsA step up from the usual pub grub, this is a restaurant worth seeking out. I had the Conmare Mussels, my wife the Seafood Linguine. Both super delicious and a cut above the battered cod served elsewhere. Attractive bar, an outside beer garden, and super location in the harbor makes this a winner.Written 9 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - youknowwho71 contributionsGreat spot for a few drinks with friends. - AVLtraveler1usa37 contributionsYou want a locals pub? Tired of walking into every bar and restaurant in town and seeing/hearing only Americans? Try the barrack heights....heather(?) at the bar and a cast of wacky local characters will give you a taste of what this town would be like without a tour bus load arriving every minute. It's at the far end of the street, and not fancy, not shiny, and possibly not a door you'd peek into otherwise.
No music, but a great education in Gaelic football--go Kerry! And reasonably priced pints. Wish we had discovered it earlier in our stay, it was a hoot.Written 28 November 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
