- Colleen CDallas, TX3 contributionsWonderful family run business! Great place to stop while driving the Ring of Kerry. Relatives of Molly saved this property over 30 years ago from the bulldozer! Great example of what it was like during the Irish Potato Famine. Their daughter has joined them insuring it’s future. We visited the farm and enjoyed delicious traditional Irish Stew. Don’t forget to try the Poitin.Written 11 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- PaocarmCancun, Mexico2 contributionsPeaceful and beautiful! We enjoyed the beauty of it even with the rain! A nice activity to do when visiting kenmare. We totally recommend it!Written 25 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Brian W2 contributionsA beautiful fern garden in a magnificent setting. Nice cafe and open air eating space. Entrance fee is somewhat pricey at Euro 14.50 per head. Overall a nice place to spend an hour walking through the gardens.Written 17 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Conni T44 contributionsVery interesting to see the size of the boulders and wonder how they could have been moved without the use of modern-day machines!Written 1 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tammy_HikesPennsville, NJ124 contributionsThis was as great little spot to check out. I walked by it on my way into town. The bridge is pretty neat. There is also a walking path near it. I didn't have the time to see where it went, but I will definitely stop again the next time I'm in Kenmare. It was a great town and I'm looking forward to going back next year.Written 9 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Restless59Bournemouth, UK1,003 contributionsI’ve been driving & camping with my bike & hiking boots for a week now and am loving just jumping onto different parts of The Beara Way Walk. It really is a very special area on the SWest coast of Ireland.
For me personally I much prefer The Beara to the far more tourist route of The Ring of Kerry. It’s quieter the roads much smaller so no big tourist coaches and loads of groups of folks jumping on & off at certain points. This area is far more relaxed and peaceful. The coastline is actually quite different to the one further north more bays & tiny little coves rather than big Cliffs.Written 30 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - gingerbreadgirlieEnnis, Ireland132 contributionsBeautiful scenery. Lovely artist with amazing works of art. Road is very narrow going up and we felt like are we going the wrong way. We were definitely delighted that we continued and didn't turn around. We got a personal tour around think everyone does. Will explain all about the art works and ans questions. Only thing I wished I knew before hand was that we could have booked accommodation there. Think will definitely have to stay if down that way again a little piece of heaven.Written 4 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Dawn B5 contributionsMagical! This was one of the best experiences in my life. Jamie and Colin were awesome - lots of stories, lots of jokes, lots of education. You can tell they are truly passionate about what the do. Never thought I would eat seaweed straight from source. It was a nice kayaking trip in the bay and as night got darker, we were treated to a show from the bioluminescent algae. Words fall short of describing what we got to see. It is something that has to be experienced in person. I cannot recommend this tour enough. If you are in the Kenmare area, put this at the top of your list of things to do.Written 15 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Trevor S1 contributionPaul is a great guide for a dive in Ireland! Getting in contact with him was easy, so was booking and he gave me a few options for the dive. The day of, he was helpful and very knowledgeable, making me feel comfortable the entire time. Although visibility was low because it was early in the season, he made it a memorable and fun experience for me. I highly recommend Paul for your dive in Ireland!Written 31 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Marlène1 contributionHello everyone!
We had the chance of doing both a farm ride and a horse trek over Easter holidays 2022 at the Dromquinna Stables in Kenmare and both were amazing experiences we would 100% recommend!
First of all, the owners are very kind and friendly (and funny !) and will put anyone at ease. Secondly, the stables are immaculate, the animals are very well looked after, and everything (I mean, everything!) is so well organized! Overall: By spending a bit of time there you can really tell just how much hard work and love the owners put into their stables and all their animals, it is truly admirable.
Before the farm ride or the horse trek, you do a tour around an arena, and they make sure you know how to steer (all the while having fun!) and make sure you are comfortable before going out on the ride / trek.
The Dromquinna Stables are located in the beautiful Kenmare bay area … we fell in love with this location for sure. We had already walked a lot along the shores and around the area, but the Dromquinna Stables horse trek took us to new heights and the view from up there was spectacular and unforgettable.
Xenia and Michael kept us all safe the whole time, reminding us to lean forward/ back when needed, made sure we were all holding the reins correctly throughout the rides, and they were both so much fun, and fountains of knowledge on the area and on Irish history! Spending time with them was just as pleasant as the horse-riding itself.
I had not ridden a horse in over ten years, but the little scepticism I had of my ability to stay in one piece went away as soon as Dragon (the horse) started walking. We even trotted a few times and my daughter went galloping in the wild with Xenia (her first time galloping outside an arena!) while we watched them in awe through the beautiful scenery and stunning yellow gorse bushes.
So, if you are in the area, don't miss the Dromquinna Stables! (And if you’re not, it is worth the detour ;) )
Thank you Xenia and Michael!!Written 3 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Ellie Dineen12 contributionsWe had a lovely time on our pony trek. Joyce and her son were so helpful and patient with us. As we had little or no experience they were great at showing us all we had to do. They guided 2 ponys each and explained history of our surroundings along the way. The whole experience was a pure delight and we hope to return in the Summer.Written 13 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Alice BellWexford, Ireland2 contributionsWhat an experience!! Mia and Simon were lovely. So helpful and very professional highlighting the main dos and donts with the lovely alpacas. Well worth a visit, lovely woodland trek with your very own alpaca with a chance to feed them and get plenty of pics and then tea/coffee and lovely homemade muffins after. Couldn’t recommend this enough! Had the best time!Written 27 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TVA99Naples, FL35 contributionsSams Spa at The Park Hotel Kenmare is everything you would expect and more from a Relais & Chateaux property.
It is an easy walk to the property, located between the 2 main streetsHenry & Main, of Kenmare.
I booked the SÁMAS Experience. My 1st hour was in the thermal suites and outdoors in the infinity pool. It was so relaxing & therapeutic.
My 2nd hour was a rejuvenating massage with Anna. She applied aroma therapy to my treatment. It was the perfect massage. She wrung me out!
My 3rd hour I spent in the relaxations. Room. Anna brought me lemon sorbet , water and a refreshing fresh ginger ale.Written 9 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
