Our guide Tony, was the nicest / most knowledgeable person and more importantly friend and very funny! It was the highlight of our trip to Ireland. The Ring of Kerry is out of this world and breathtaking. This tour was absolutely perfect for us. We covered so many areas over the day and went to places that the buses couldn't get to. Tony didn't rush us at all and we spent time in many places. Our favorite stops were:
Port Magee at the Kerry Cliffs - absolutely breathtaking
A visit to a Bog Village to learn more about the great Irish famine.
    Ross Point - beautiful beach!
Valencia Harbour and visiting the forts and Torc Waterfall.
To be honest the whole tour was just amazing and made even better by a wonderful tour guide who picked us up from our accommodation.
We couldn't have had a better tour!
Thank you Tony and Peter for making our trip to Ireland so special.

We spent a truly enjoyable day with Richard Moxley touring the Ring of Kerry. We were lucky enough to have lovely weather in the morning and mysterious fog, mist and drizzle in the afternoon. The views were great even when the weather turned, and the tour was truly a special treat. Richard is so knowledgable and interesting to talk with and learn from. A great day all around.

We took a tour along the Ring of Beara with our friends and it was an absolute highlight of our vacation in Ireland. The area was unbelievably beautiful, rich in historical landmarks and we wouldn't discover even half of them if not for our driver - Peter. He knew the story of every village, lake, island and ruin along the way. In the beginning we planned to visit this region on our own but I am so glad that we didn't! I definitively recommend this tour and the guide (+ you can let go of the stress of driving on the "other" side of the road :))

We did a modified Beara itinerary spending more time in Glengarif and Kenmare because that's where my ancestry is probably from, rather than spending more time to do the entire Beara peninsula out to the end. Peter did a great job, giving us commentary and observations, and picking out interesting places to stop and take pictures.

From Killarney, we went through the national park and stopped at the Torc waterfall, which was not crowded in the morning since the ring of Kerry tour busses go around the ring counter clockwise and wouldn't come through here until the afternoon. We stopped at Molly Gallivan's, which had a period cottage where she her businesses in the early 1800's = around the time my ancestors were near there.

Glengarriff was nice - smaller than I thought, with only an intersection and a block or two of main buildings in the center of town. A shop and some pubs may be owned by some of my long-lost cousins (I suppose I'm the one who's lost).

The centerpiece had to be the Healy Pass - just remarkable views on both sides of the top. Wasn't socked in at all on the day we went, although we could see the lines of clouds against the mountains. Watch out for the wind!

We had more time in Kenmare, like we wanted, for a lunch stop, which was good that we had a couple hours.

I visited Mizen Head today. It was perfect the sun shining the winds light but packed with tourists. The place was big enough to cope with them. I got there about 2pm. The views were earth shattering. We had to use a narrow bridge over a gorge with the sea hundreds of feet below with three seals bobbing in the sunshine. The lighthouse complex was very interesting. The restaurant was well stocked. It even sold hot meals or ice-cream cones. I thought I was a kid again for a day. The complex next door had a souvenir shop and several rooms depicting life in a lighthouse in the early 19 hundreds. A simulated ships bridge in another room with ships wheel and radio transmitters. Great for the kids. Staff were very friendly and informative. But the views would knock your socks off. Very enjoyable.
