The conditions were perfect so stayed in the air for the prestige experience instead of the standard 15 min flight which Laurent offered once we were in the air- very grateful for this. We were a family group of adults and teenagers, and we all felt like we had known her forever. Great fun and a bit challenging in places but put trust in yourself from the very start and you’ll come away as thrilled as we all were. Highly recommended for some action-adventure in a safe setting … we talked about it all evening over dinner. - ELloydHemel Hempstead, England49 contributionsWe bought 3-hour passes and went on two of the high-ropes courses (jeunesse and fraicheur), plus the ziplines (tyrolean), by which point we were pretty tired! The high-ropes courses compare well to the Go Ape courses in the UK. Staff were friendly and helpful. - OllyWetherby, UK5 contributionsMy 15 year old and I both did tandem paragliding with this company and they were superb. Booking was straightforward at the small cabin next to the tourist office, they took contact details in case of cancellation etc.
We turned up at the stated time, were driven up the hill between Morzine and Avoriaz with the pilots/instructors in their van and then set up.
You are sat in a harness clipped to your pilot, when he says run, you run, about 5 paces then you’re lifted off the ground and away. It feels totally secure, the views are amazing and you fly around over the slopes!
The landing zone is a large field on the edge of town, about 2 minutes walk back in, and that’s it!
Staff were great, experience was top notch and I’d definitely recommend this company. - cyril bUnited Kingdom9 contributionsOur two young daughters (3 and 5 yr old) joined ESI on the second day of the week after a bad experience at Village des Enfants (we found out it is more a nursery than a ski school below 5). We highly recommend the school. They learnt so much thanks to Raphael, the ski instructor. It was a small class and we could see that Raphael focuses on every child to make sure they progress but also want to ski again. We tried a variety of delicious local cheeses. - ClaraTimLondon, UK120 contributionsWe had a great experience with Avo-kart - 2 adults & 3 kids age 12/15/16. The karts were fitted to size and brakes worked well (vital), we were given professional waivers to sign, helmets and goggles fitted properly, and then all that was needed was gumption to steer ourselves down the mountain. It didn't feel without risk, but that's part of the fun and no mountain activities are without risk. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's priced quite steeply for 1 go down the mountain (that's the loss of 1 star), but additional gos are well priced. I'm glad Avoriaz has this activity as part of what's on offer there in the summer.
