I walked the Bisse du Ro a few times when I was in Crans Montana for a week in September. There has clearly been a lot of effort invested into the trail and it is very well maintained, as it needs to be given where it goes. If heights make you uncomfortable, this is probably not the trail for you. However, when I was there only one part of the trail was along a section with a large drop and no safety rail (you hold on to a rope attached to a cliff face - I've attached a photo of this section), and even on that bit they're in the process of building a suspension bridge to circumvent that section.
The part of the trail that runs alongside the water course (so basically the bit from Crans Montana) is, by necessity, quite flat so you don't need to be particularly fit to walk that section, although there are a couple of bits that go under low rocky outcrops, so you'd need to be fit enough to duck to a level of about three feet or so. Much of the trail is along walkways suspended on a vertical cliff face. The walkway is wide enough that two people can pass each other without too much difficulty, but it would still be a bit of a palaver if it was very busy (which it wasn't when I was there in September).
After a mile or so, at the end of the water course, the flat bit ends and the trail becomes more of a standard mountain trail, which I followed all the way to the dam (and back).
Basically it's a pretty easy walk with stunning views.

We only had one day to go and I was hopeful I could try out the snowshoeing trail on the Glacier but unfortunately that day the whole glacier was in the clouds and we couldn't see beyond our oes. The trails were closed and we couldn't even see the glacier surface itself. We did have a Fondue in the little restaurant on top which was nice (even though the bread was too stale). Unless you have a lift ticket already and can't ski or enjoy other trails, don't go all the way up if you can't ski the black trail down in heavy fog. On clear days, the views are apparently breathtaking and the restaurant more lively (which will also probably mean that fresh bread will be more readily available for your fondue)

A strange location for this original museum, which has a large and eclectic exposition of model trains, going back to the late 19th century. The visit is animated by the lady who runs the museum, which she does very well. There is a video show around different railway topics from Switzerland. The trains are in glas boxes, organized thematically. And then there are some layout with rolling stock. Downstairs is a part with a collaction of US trains, which I did not visited, I was quite saturated after an hour 20 minutes. I think this is really a nice place for those interested in model trains, for those who are not it may be overkill.

We recently did the Sortie Nocturne on Snow shoes to the Hameau de Colombire. Led by our excellent guide Nathalie, we arrived at the Hameau after 90 minutes of snow shoeing. The friendly staff of the Relais de Colombire were ready to look after us, and we enjoyed a delicious fondue. The bonus to the whole evening was the descent on toboggan! It was super fun! I would thoroughly recommend a visit to Hameau de Colombire and the Relais. Our evening was really well organised, and we would definitely arrange to do it again in the future.

Very beautiful museum. It is indeed quite small but the exhibition is worth the visit. The lotschental masks are so real and the scenography was superb!
Go visit it if you have a few minutes to occupy during your stay in Crans-Montana.

If you like chocolate in Switzerland, David is a wonderful address! The service is excellent and the staff are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. You can taste everything and this is very helpful to decide what to buy. There are so many choices and something for everyone on your gift list! My favorites are the salted caramel chocolate covered almonds - irresistible!!

Our 3 year old son had an absolutely wonderful time with Marion. She provided such wonderful indoor and outdoor activities to keep the children engaged and learning fun new things. Our little guy came back home happy each day, and we felt so at ease and comfortable leaving him for the day so we could enjoy some ski time - so we all got to enjoy ourselves! Truly appreciative for this wonderful place and the wonderful, caring Marion. Would highly recommend, and look forward to coming back again!

I’ve participated in 3 trail running experiences with Beeheidi, each one was unique, rewarding and memorable.
The first was the Inauguration Day with the fabulous team of young adventurers in Les combires above crans Montana. The second with Michelle when we ran above Saillon and today with Sandra Heidi when we ran an easy course over the col de Cou above Champéry.
My trail running has improved even if I know my downhill running is not yet at a decent level.
Each time the scenery was fantastic.
I really appreciated not having to think about the route, knowing that at the end of the effort we would go to a wonderful mountain restaurant and the easy discussions with these young guides who are passionate about their mountains in a fun and unassuming way.
Full support for this new concept that enables safe encounters with the Swiss mountains!
