Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- sheepygoldEaling, UK5,521 contributionsWe visited various town in this part of Germany and Limburg has by far the most complete and beautiful old town with many small streets and independent shops and cafes. I would recommend visiting the Tourist Information to pick up a free walking map giving a route to se the highlights. Allow half a day and visit the cathedral as well as do a walk along the river Lahn. The best place to photograph the cathedral is from the old bridge across the river.Written 12 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dominic DCarlisle, PA24 contributionsThe company: "Lahn Valley Boat Tour" Vomfell
The boat: The Wappen von Limburg
The river: The Lahn, near Limburg, Germany
We were able to do the two-hour round-trip cruise that goes from Limburg on the river one way towards the St. Lubentius Basilica and the other direction towards the Oranienstein Palace, including passage through the lock in Limburg on the way out and back. The boat was not crowded, with plenty of seating in the enclosed area and large windows for viewing. It was raining off and on during our cruise, so we could not be up on the open-air deck much of the time. Service in the "salon" was helpful and pleasant, and the recorded information about the sights was in both German and English, and the staff spoke some English. Beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee, and some food were available. There are restrooms on board. Our one disappointment was that almost as soon as the major sights were in view, the boat would immediately turn around and head back the other way. We got a better view of the church on the one end, but the boat didn't even go past the palace—we only saw it from a distance and then only briefly. The passage through the lock going and returning was interesting, however. It is my understanding that the longer tours offered on different days are more interesting than the shorter two-hour one we went on (but this was the only day we could go). I would definitely try to get on the longer tour, which currently seems to be on Wednesdays and Fridays.Written 22 June 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He had a lot of unappropriated remarks both with gender and racists contend. This was embarrassing to listen. He mention also that he was not good with numbers or facts, which make us wonder about his qualificationWritten 29 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
