Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a modern shopping centre built on the site of the old railway work sheds. We came in here for coffee a number of times as well as going to a health food store. There are toilets here but you have to pay 0.5 euro.

The House of the Seven Vices was one of he more interesting with decorative faces on the ground floor roof beam of the seven vices, pride, envy, intemperance, avarice, lust, anger and indolence. It dates back to 1567 (with a number of changes since) and apparently now is an art gallery which was not open at the time visited. Worthy of a look from oitsie.

We visited Limburg 4 years ago and didn't find this museum then but I saw it advertised and decided to give it go. It is located a stone's throw from the front of the cathedral and is in a building over three floors with an additional modern extension. The entrance fee is a paltry 3 Euros - for what you get its amazing value. We spent about 2 hours here. There is one masterpiece after another from clothing through relics to stunning silver and gold items which are several hundred years old. There is so much to see it is overwhelming. The only drawback is nothing is in English but that doesn't detract from the beauty of the objects on display.

This place is at the rear of the cathedral and does not appear open to the public. The building is impressive and there is a very good view of the river from a terrace.

This is a very nice half-timbered house in the centre of Limburg, on the way to the bridge from where you can have a nice view on the cathedral.

I came across this simply by getting a better view on the bridge. Then I read the history of this statue. After all these years, it’s amazing to see it still survives!!!

This is a nice bridge, at present undergoing renovation works, where you can see the statue of Saint John Nepomuk and take a very nice shot of the Limburg Cathedral

These stones are so easily missed but once you know what to look for you can see many around the streets. Each has a story to tell which you can find easily on the internet.

This is one of many interesting old houses in Limburg, sitting atop the hill adjacent to the Cathedral. It is interesting but not the best in the town. Apparently the bishop, known as the Bishop of Bling, was dismissed by Pope Francis for spending a reported $43 M on renovations. Worth a visit if you visit the church.

Standing high on the Fels at DIetkirchen, this is a beautiful example of Romanesque architecture. It’s a short bike ride or moderate walk along the river Lahn. Apparently undamaged in the war.
