Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Andy EDerbyshire, UK50 contributionsReally enjoyed the town as a base for a ski holiday. A good choice of restaurants and shops in the centre with easy level walking. The ski area was easily reached by the Chavannes chairlift or gondola. Plenty of ski hire shops all within a short distance from the slopes. Our 9th ski holiday but our 1st time in Portes du Soleil and this was our favourite place!
Only negative was the speed of some of the chairlifts...they go at what seems an unreasonably fast pace. We saw 2 men knocked over and I have bruised legs where one lift hit me. If this matter could be addresed it would be perfect.Written 2 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I followed a bit but as the main event is playing these fabulous music machines it didn't matter to me. There is a guide card in English. The machines are truly amazing but they have a prohibition on photos and videos so you have to see it live. Think of the fairground machine in Paddington 2 and you will be close. We absolutely loved it.
Look out as they also do concerts once a.month in the church where there is a player organ/carillon which was also terrific.
The second half of the museum is music boxes and automaton, and quite a lot of them work if you press a button so I liked that too.
All told- a great morning out bit make sure you get a guide or the machines won't be playing.Written 2 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - briony pLondon, UK203 contributionsGreat area for a family to spend the day, theres a flume like slide which is really good, and the wibit, and a baby wibit. Its good value for money and the lake is clean and a nice temperature, it is however dangerous and your pretty much guaranteed to hurt yourself like i did several times! I would say try and go earlier to avoid crowd as they do seem to let quite a few people on at once and theres loads of collisions. Having said that i did have great fun so I would recommend as long as you know what your letting yourself in forWritten 13 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CK1235 contributionsLes Gets has a fantastic new feature at the Perrieres ski lift. We had a blast riding it together and solo, with brakes and without brakes! We visited during half term and had to wait in line for about 20 minutes after skiing during the week, but there was no queue on Sunday. Make sure to grab a photo from the booth, it's a nice keepsake. The Luge is illuminated at dusk, creating a stunning sight and making the ride even more thrilling. It's definitely a must-do activity while you're in Les Gets.Written 20 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 710amoLondon, UK4 contributionsWe’ve just been back to Les Gets again for about the tenth time.
For the past 5 years we have been to Pop snowboarding with Adam. Having been to many instructors across the Alps I’m confident that you will never EVER meet a better snowboard instructor! I’m quite picky as I instruct for a living but here’s where Adam excels:
Technically 10/10
Care/attention 10/10
Enthusiasm/FUN 10/10
Attitude/humour 12/10
He has instructed me (typical boy who wants to go fast)
My wife (very nervous) - Adam’s care and attention was unbelievable. She’s now learnt to be super confident and technically excellent. She needed so much support at the beginning and Adam was incredible.
My 2 children - from a young age they were lucky enough to learn from Adam - again his care and attention put us (very protective/nervous parents) at ease. The kids love him.
If you are thinking of having any snowboard instruction then do yourself a favour and choose Pop and Adam.
Probably the best snowboard instructor in the world!
And if you ask him - he may even show you some flippy stuff - I’ve never seen anyone as confident and classy in a board!
Thank you Pop - thank you Adam!Written 27 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Once there the views were great. There's a restaurant on the left and a small pro shop on the right. We were there scouting the place out with family and didn't have time to play 18 holes, we did however spend some time hitting balls on the driving range, €2.5 per 25 balls. A popular place given the number of cars in the car park at 1pm.
It was very hot and with it being a mountainous location the course looked steep in parts so you'd need to take plenty of water with you particularly if you weren't using a buggy.
Best times to play would be early in the morning or evening I would say.
Well worth a visit, we'll try and get back to actually play a round and bring plenty of balls with us.Written 4 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The kids loved it as it is really magic with the lights, the sound and the music. Yes it is not that long max 40 minutes but that’s still worth. - beforeyouaccusemeEdinburgh, UK248 contributionsAn absolutely lovely spa, clean, beautifully maintained and luxurious. I visited there several times and a particular favourite of mine was the hot tub that is partially outside. The main pool has many treatment areas, all of which were fully functioning. There were steam rooms, saunas, salt rubs, cool pool and ice pool. It was never over crowded and the ambience was most enjoyable. The reception staff were warm, welcoming, helpful and friendly. Well done!Written 19 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kat GBig White, Canada27 contributionsGreat selection of local products. Worth popping in to, it has won awards since 2010 (I believe) for best selection.Written 6 September 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
