Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped here on a cruise excursion that combined a tour of the city center with a stop at the Souq. As an amateur photographer I found the combination of old and new worlds to be interesting subjects. My suggestion: travel light. My DSLR with a zoom lens was a great choice. The city center shots needed speed due to the motion of the bus. The choice of zoom lens made for easy and quick grab shots. As always watch for distracting reflections in bus windows. look ahead to be prepared for opportunities. Ps: we traveled here just before the pandemic hit.

It is not a real tourist attraction but it worths a visit. It is situated near the old port, near the Marina hotel. Is an authentic fish market were you can take pictures and interact with the locals who are very gentle. Also, you can find fruits and vegatbles in low prices. If you have time, pay a visit!

The fact it has a food court and grocery store is great for those staying at the hotels right there. Otherwise it's just ok. Some nice stores but many empty ones too.

Despite its fairly small size, this is quite a good mall with decent shops selling different products, a Carrefour and many perfume kiosks. There's a large food court upstairs and a McDonald's, Pizza Hut and a Starbucks attached to the entrance. I'd give it an 8 out of 10. There's no cinema so that's a bumper for me

Al Araimi Boulevard offers a place to do some quality shopping in Muscat. It opened only a year ago and it accommodates a number of international and local brands. The mall has been built in a modern style and shoes little Omani elements, like most of the other shopping outlets in Muscat.

One thing which will definitely catch your attention is the availability of a large number of cafés and restaurants which cater many different tastes. That's probably one of the best feature of the place.

It still has a lot of empty shops, specially on the second floor and may be a place which will attract more clients in the coming years. One thing which I found bothering was the excessive way of shop owners and shop assistants addressing the passersby in the corridor LS and asking them to look into their shops. This is really Beneath the level of this establishment.

This place is unique because I haven't seen many Photography club museums . They display stunning photos which are captured by professional photographers . It's a great place for amateur photographers to visit and learn tips and angles and explore more about photography .

This mall has been open since a few months, but surprisingly no reviews yet. I'm sure many people staying in Muscat have visited the Dragon Mart in Muscat. China Mall is a similar setup few kms before that (while travellng from Muscat), on the opposite side of the road.
We went there last week on a holiday. There are many shops in a single floor building, most of them selling mobiles, mobile accessories, building materials, clothes, camping equipment etc. There is also a food court. Enough parking space available.
If you only going to see the place and maybe spend a little time seeing what the shops have to offer, you will not need more than 2 hours.
Some of the small electronic gadgets and lighters are impressive.

This gallery is contemporary, modern and its really unique, because it represents the best Omani contemporary artists of different ages. They have Grant programs for young graduates, who work on researches and experimental art.
as well, the represent the best Omani artists and international as well. They have a hudge art collection in their Showroom, i was surprised to find there representing artists from Europe, USA, Middle East, Asia. Artworks are of different media, and styles, you can find surrealism, figurative art, abstract and more, and the most impressive is how local Master-artists work with color, subject and object. The Omani traditional colors enrich the artworks with a new relationship between modern vision and authentic Omani language. its really differs from what i saw in other GCC countries.
I love to collect art from different countries and from Stal Gallery I collected the art of an established Omani Artist Hassan Meer. First time i discovered his art in Switzerland couple years ago, and than I found him in Christie's auction in Dubai.
Gallery is located in the city center, in environment there are a lot of restaurants- traditional and international, and it's close to seaside and hotels. Gallery Manager is a highly professional person, Dr.Meera, her art advisory, hospitality, and local guidelines - made my day and memories.

I booked a Muscat city tour with Muscat Nature Tours, my guide was Sayd.
It was a great experience and learnt so much about Muscat and Oman from someone who grew up there. Sayd was extremely flexible and willing to spent as much time as I wanted with him.
I can't wait to come to Oman again.
