  • Park in the little car park and walk up this magical valley gorge. Rocks cut out by the raging river Gelt, fed by many streams coming off the pennine hills. Walk up and look at the Roman Graffiti left there by bored soldiers guarding the slaves hacking out the stone from the quarries.
