Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Jess CPenrith, UK6 contributionsMy daughter had a great birthday party here. They had an hours bounce then plenty of food afterwards. Yasmine the party host was great, nothing was too much trouble. Its pricey but worth it for an organised stress free party. Will be booking again for my son.Written 14 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tony F1 contribution1st time to the Red Herring escape rooms, and we tried the Asylum, very atmospheric and the host was very helpful as we were useless. we did manage to get some of the clues not sure how close we were to escaping but can definitely recommend. We will be back.Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Inspire591694173492 contributionsWhat a fabulous way to spend your birthday. Great fun and a lovely atmosphere. With expert tuition from James we were soon hitting Bullseyes and learning trick shots. Great value for money, can't recommend this highly enough.

- SlykGlasgow, UK70 contributionsI was visiting Carlisle and my Mum likes a game of bingo so we joined up. Easy to do. Staff friendly and made the joining easy. We received joining vouchers for a free drink so that was a bonus. Clean and food reasonably priced. Definitely go back if in Carlisle again.Written 17 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- clairestepsCumbria, UK40 contributionsWhat a brilliant addition to Carlisle city centre! Lovely to see something different, very reasonably priced, with lovely staff (shout out to Jude who helped us with curling!).

- AbbyCarlisle, UK34 contributionsBeen here twice now with friends then family and it’s fantastic! Lots to keep the children busy for a few hours. Everything is well set up and looked after. There is something for every child even very small ones! Will definitely be back! However, the coffee is awful! Both times I’ve had it it’s tasted so bad . Like it’s made with dirty water and I thought I was going mad but my friends said the same.Written 1 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - louisam1975St. Bees, UK54 contributionsI visited today with my autistic little girl needless to say I was worried if she would cope. She didn’t but I was amazed by the guy working there he put my little girl at ease, showed her round the crazy golf and was an absolute hero. He turned what could be a meltdown experience into something very different! People like this make my life so much easier so thank you.

- DaklesSouthampton, UK1,329 contributionsThis is a gloriously typical traditional English cricket ground with a lovely setting on the north bank of the River Eden. The playing area is a really good size, there’s a nice traditional pavilion and bench seating that cascades down the hill on the north and east sides of the ground. It’s home to Carlisle Cricket Club and also hosts games for Cumbria County.Written 7 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
