This is a very big outdoor market with an emphasis on food. As well as food stalls selling a wide variety of fresh goods, there are also many places to eat or just have a drink. It's well worth a visit if you have time.

We caught the underground out to the Palace. It was approximately a 550 metre walk from the station to the Palace entrance. The Palace Christmas markets were free however the Winter Wonderland display in the gardens cost EUR15 each.

The markets were a lot smaller than those at the Rathausplatz though we thought of a similar size to those in Marie-Theresien-platz. The craft stalls sold much of the same products that we had seen in other Christmas markets and the food and beverages were also quite similar. What stood out in these markets though was the fantastic backdrop of the Palace with lights highlighting its lovely facade. The bicycle powered children's merry-go-round was also quite quaint.

We saw a number of people moving towards an area at the side of the Palace and, as we followed to see what was there, noticed all of the lights for the Winter Wonderland display. This display was quite excellent with a range of different animals (e.g. Reindeer, squirrels etc), objects (e.g. piano and musical notes) and people being highlighted and outlined in different coloured lights. Worth the entrance fee.

Just a few blocks away from the better known Kunsthistoriches Museum, the Academy of Fine Arts has a wonderful art gallery which is open to the public. I came for Hieronymus Bosch's "The Last Judgment" and was pleasantly surprised to find a number of other old master paintings. The current exhibit "History Tales: Fact and Fiction in History Painting" is well worth a visit.

Interesting display of artworks, jewels and other fine objects for sale. This auction house is worth going to and is conveniently located in the historic center. The building in itself is well maintained and elegant.

I only used the mall to ride the City Airport Train to/from VIE; just from strolling around, though, the size and condition of the complex is impressive. Many shops on multiple floors. I was dismayed at the relatively lackluster dining choices, though, and not all were open at dinner time when I was there. Still a good indoor spot close to the central pedestrian zones and major sights of Vienna, as well as a Hilton hotel across the street.

This is an indoor shopping venue along Kärntner Ring attached to Grand Hotel Wien. There are a couple floors with around 70 retail shops, eateries and a basement level supermarket. Opening hours are around 10am to 7pm daily.

Shops target local shoppers more than tourists and as such make Ringstrassen Galleries a less interesting place to spend time compared to street shopping and browsing within Innere Stadt unless weather is poor and you are looking for indoor galleries and facilities around the city.

Step back in time to the bygone Biedermeier era when you enter the cute courtyards of Raimundhof .
Located just off Mariahilfer StraĂźe there are some really cute cafes and bars in these courtyards and some boutique shopping outlets ,we dropped into Cafe Im Raimundhof were we enjoyed a coffee,it was just so good finding such a lovely cafe in such a beautiful set of courtyards, very evocative, very photogenic and if your wandering down Mariahlifer StraĂźe well worth checking out.

As a newcomer to Vienna, I’m excited to have this nearby although the products weren’t necessarily that much more exciting or cheaper than what I can find at a local grocer. Still a nice outing with interesting food stalls

This was worth the trip of 3 hours on a rainy day. The photos are out awesome and displayed well with great lighting in a beautiful space. You can easily spend an hour or more here... take it slowly and enjoy a time gone by.

Located in the heart of the city Meinl Am Graben is a must go destination for me on any holiday I take to this most beautiful of city's.
It's a cafe/ shop showcasing the great range of coffee's and chocolates that's available in Vienna ,it's beautiful laid out and has a little cafe attached which is cool.
My twin brother Stephen and I dropped by here on a freezing cold late evening ,we ordered a coffee each ,served steaming hot ,we warmed up and planned out the night ahead while sipping our coffee's.
From the first sip till the last sup you know they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve in this cafe, hardly surprising it's do popular with coffee of this quality.
We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
Meinl Am Graben is easy to locate along Graben.
    Opening hours are;
Monday to Friday ,8am till 7.30pm.
    Saturday,9am till 6pm.
    Sunday,closed.
Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The mannerschniten are a classic treat copied by many but bested by none. So identified in origin with the city the packaging of these delicious wafers includes a picture of Stephansdom church. And the best Manner store is located in the church square, at the very center of Vienna. When visiting Vienna these make an excellent souvenir/gift to bring home and give others.

As our apartment was overlooking this well-supplied market, we visited it a couple of times. The market is named after the big church of Saint Roch, dedicated to a XIV. century French Christian saint.

There was an excellent choice of quality bakery products, always fresh and tasty. The quality of the vegetables and fruit was also superb, but the prices were higher than in the nearby Billa supermarket where we could also choose from the goods on the shelves.
