What travellers are saying
- Miles ArcherBoca Raton, FL7,314 contributionsI love history, and I'm a museum groupie. I knew something about viking culture and history, and now I know more. I spent about an hour here. Not very busy. Family oriented.Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alexander LehighLittlestown, PA25 contributionsThis is mostly an attraction suited for younger children, based off a children's book by a celebrated local author. The setup is really well-done though, it's a good attraction.Written 21 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EveAtlantic Beach, FL18 contributionsStuck in Keflavik after a flight was cancelled. Put up in a hotel down the road, so we gave it a wander. Excellently done. Captured my interest and imagination for an hour. Did not care for the modern art section.... some may enjoy the geology area but I loved the history. Really made me think about what it was like to live here in the early 1900s as a fisherman. Very we done. Inexpensjve and worth a trip.Written 5 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Traveler7771713136 contributionsThis museum is known as the Duus Museum. One block from the Hotel Berg, 6 minutes from the Keflavik Airport. Have lunch at the Duus Kaffe and enjoy this fabulous museum.Written 11 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Axell33Baldivis, Australia835 contributionsThis monument is like many, interesting when you see it but definitely not a destination attraction. On a nice day its a nice place for a walk along the waterfront. Certainly enjoy the monument on the way past enjoying the area.Written 15 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jun JacintoNew York City, NY1,474 contributionsA lovely place of cliffs and narrow passageways but very exciting and unusual, when you’re in this place you can’t miss it.Written 27 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Barbara MSpringfield, MO3,328 contributionsParking is available, not much here, but it is very interesting to imagine living like this at some point. Glad I don't have to. Signs explain a lot, and it is very windy, too. GPS brought us here directly. Glad I got to see one of these uniquely structures up close.Written 21 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chiara C.Milan, Italy174 contributionsJust above the art gallery, a two storeys preserved all wooden tturfhouse with objects, artifacts and memorabilia telling the story of the merchants who lived here. - OkanaganArnieSan Marcos, CA15 contributionsMy family and I just returned from a magical trip of a lifetime, exploring Iceland with Ingi, our amazing guide from Deluxe Iceland. From the moment we landed until we departed, Ingi took such thoughtful care of every detail. We spent ten days, with adventures that included fly fishing (we caught Arctic Char), boating among ice bergs in a glacial lagoon, hiking volcano crater rims, exploring waterfalls, puffin cliffs on the Westman Islands and bathing in geothermal pools. And every day we enjoyed amazing food, and beautiful hotels. Deluxe Iceland arranged an excellent itinerary and Ingi made sure our every need was taken care of. His knowledge of all things Icelandic made the trip a very rich experience. He even did advance research into my family's ancestral home in Isafjordur prior to our arrival and was able to take us directly to my great grandparents home, from which my family emigrated to Canada in 1898! Ingi's enthusiasm for our itinerary made it so much fun.Deluxe Iceland created a once in a lifetime magical trip for our family--one that we will be talking about for years to come!Written 25 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
