Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very cozy place. Went there with my girlfriend for a couple of beers. We each bought a "tasting platter" containing 6 beers on each. I'd definitely recommend that! Great way to try their own beers. Some exciting, some good and some decent.
Good service, and overall a fun place to visit.

I liked this museum. It tells about the history of Vasa and Osterbotten and they have also many important paintings from the golden age of Finnish painting in the Hedmans collection. Well worth visiting.

This is the shortest crossing time over the gulf of Bothnia. 4 hours. Ok ferry but nothing special. If sunny sit outside!

Terranova is situated in the same building with "Pohjanmaan Museo - Osterbottens Museo" (read separate Tripadvisor reviews) and you may visit both of them with the same ticket.

Terranova is a very good biological museum. You could call it a natural science exhibition, too. It specializes in local nature, especially the Kvarken archipelago (Merenkurkun saaristo), which is Finland's first natural heritage site on the list of UNESCO. It was a good idea to get to know this exhibition first and then visit Saltkaret (an observation tower, read separate Tripadvisor reviews) in Mustasaari to see these same things in real nature.

Terranova is a modern and well-kept museum. I really recommend it. Besides, it is easy to visit there, because it is situated almost in the city center.

Wasa Up is a climbing gym that offers climbers of all levels a great experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Wasa Up to anyone looking for a fun and challenging workout. Special praise to Johannes, I'll definitely be back for more lessons 🙂

Close to the Old Vaasa ruins. If you go to see the ruins, do not miss the church. Used to be a court house. Check the times to get inside. If possible choose a sunny morning/day for the interior. Nice linden alley next to the church. And it is free.

This car museum is in an old factory. It doesn't look much from the outside but it has some interesting cars and history especially Finnish racing car and rally history.

This meteor crater is a place of cosmic connection with the universe. Although is is not very spectacular at first, it becomes all the more fascinating if one realises what has happened here 500.000.000 years ago. The information centre is quite informative, for adults as well as for children. Look on the web site to see the opening times.

Expensive considering the experience was not very satisfying. Jacuzzi was not warm, not a pleasant experience to sit in any one of them. The kids did enjoy the park with its wave machine and water slides etc. It is a rather small water park, and seems to be left to its destiny…not properly maintained. Staff was nice, sauna and showers very good.

Ruins are nice but nothing spectacular. Surroundings are pleasant to walk around. Old houses, beautiful gardens and square block city plan are something to watch. Also imperial white church is impressive view. Canal is dried out to small stream. We didn't find the art park which was shown in a map. Anyway this all is free and parking lots are found near the food store and church for a short walking in old residential area.
