Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great for a family visit. Many exhibitions of themes for all tastes and hosted in a nice historical building. Easy to spend a few hours and keep the kids busy with the interactive exhibitions. Everything worked very well.

I loved our visit to the Moomin museum! I especially enjoyed Tuulikki Pietilä's miniature art based on Tove Jansson's stories. They were truly beautifully detailed. Our 4-year-old daughter was slightly frightened by some parts of the museum because the lighting is very dark. Our favourite bits were the miniatures and the giant version of The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My. Well worth the money to visit.

The stone church looks imposing and grand. The horticulture and the trees around it add to the charm. It's a pity we couldn't go inside as there was a personal ceremony going on and we didn't feel like intruding.

The folk spa was amazing, dipping in the lake with people skiing by on the frozen surface nearby was surreal.

The atmospheric, smoke, yurt sauna was gorgeous, so relaxing and not too hot for beginners, worth paying the little extra.

Its definitely a bit more basic than some of the most touristy saunas, like Löyly in Helsinki, so bring costume and your own towels. Recommend bringing sliders/flip flops as there is a little walk between things, covered in snow in the winter.

Lush selection of flowers, herbs, trees and sceneries and lovely cafes make ones day! Location near city center by the lake Pyhäjärvi makes this an ideal oasis to visit!

It felt amazing to know that this wonderfully looking area was a mill area once . The buildings are being used as offices , shops , restaurants, cafes etc.
The area has been done up very well and its a pleasure just strolling through.
The rapids and the water front views are the highlight.

Viikinsaari Island is a small Island very near to city of Tampere. It’s a 20min boat journey. The ticket price of the boat is 13 euro (for adult, 2 way). It’s better to download the app named “Tampere Passi”. With the app anyone can get 1 ticket free if he/she buy 1 ticket. Buy one get 2! There is no other entry fee in the Island. The food is expensive including snacks or drinks. It’s a good place for picnic. Food or drinks can be taken with you as there is no restriction on it to save food cost. There are small beaches, small playground, one big restaurant, kids playing areas, Music/Concert areas. The moments in the beach can be enjoyed in maximum if there is a big group going together. The most enjoyable part of the whole tour was the boat journey from Laukontori to Viikinsaari. The scenes of both side along with blues sky in summer days are simply stunning.

My goal in visiting Metso was to connect to my e-mail, since I don't travel with any electronic devices. They were able to supply this service with a smile. I didn't spend a lot of time exploring the place since my goals were strictly business.

Tampere Hall is located opposite the main building of the University of Tampere near the railway station. It was completed in 1990. The main auditorium has over 1,700 seats.

The Tampere Opera and the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra are based there. You can find also the Moomin Museum here.

There is a new Marriott Hotel connected to the building.

A must go for all interested in stones and minerals! I enjoyed it greatly. Mineral museum takes only a part of the whole Vapriikki museum. It's not huge, but not super small either. The collection has some really nice specimens. Meteorites, fossils, huge fossilized tree trunks, huge amethyst geodes and much more. Many specimens are from Finland.

High up on the hill by the Milavida mansion is a statue of a woman holding two children in despair. It commemorates the 1929 tragedy of Kuru, a ship full of passengers sunken in the high waves of Näsi lake with 138 lives lost. From below by the shore you can hear the music and laughter of people at the Särkänniemi amusement park.
