Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Plenty to see with the 15e admission. Game Museum, Ice Hockey Museum and a Rock Museum to mention few, make sure to check out all the available exhibitions before you arrive. We loved the gaming museum as you could play the games and see some real gaming relics, like the good olg Hugo game with phone-controller!

The museum shop is also filled with gaming themed stuff and it is hard to leave without buying anything...

It was certainly the most outstanding church in the town. Didn't check the inside of it thought. Nice nonetheless.

It's always nice to go to moomin museum, especially for the kids. Usually going once there is enough, but there are own creativity rooms and they also offer different things, depending on each month, which is pretty nice. They also have some interactive things. But don't expect too much, yet this is a museum and about moomin and history. But it is nice there, and also relaxing.

We arrived early to visit the amusement park which is the main attraction. The elevator ride was fast and smooth. Enjoyed the great views.

The exhibition consisted of a film, war time equipment, photos and clothes. Not big, but not bad. You may take a selfie with Lenin and Stalin.

Great exhibition of the various developments in living conditions in the area. The guide was great and it definitely added to the visit.

One of the best museums in town.

The Finlayson Area is a fantastic area close to water.
It was build by a Scottsman as a Cotton Mill and to day this big area is full off different life, Museums, dining place, theater, shops and offices and lots of things to do.
Go there and see the history of Tampere.

A must go for all interested in stones and minerals! I enjoyed it greatly. Mineral museum takes only a part of the whole Vapriikki museum. It's not huge, but not super small either. The collection has some really nice specimens. Meteorites, fossils, huge fossilized tree trunks, huge amethyst geodes and much more. Many specimens are from Finland.

The building seen from above resembles a big male capercaillie in his pride so the library is known in Finnish as Metso. Architect couple Raili and Reima Pietiläs' design from 1986 has assymetrical lines and unexpected nooks both inside and out. The fame of Metso earned them the priviledge to create in 1993 Mäntyniemi in Helsinki, the formal residence of our president.

This Is a gorgeous Finnish Orthodox Church. Its interior is splendid and even moreso on a Sunday when church is in session.

There is lots to see and it's very intuitively designed as you first walk in. Very easy to see everything systematically. I would recommend going right when they open, as i hear it get crowded since its a free museum. We were there immediately when they opened and in the first hour there were already kids and people more than one would hope. This is also a very popular spot for families with children so if you want to avoid crowds of kids, try to go early.

It's quite boring if you are not into that kind of stuff. Some interesting things here and there, but not really a must see if you visit Tampere.

Tampere Hall is located opposite the main building of the University of Tampere near the railway station. It was completed in 1990. The main auditorium has over 1,700 seats.

The Tampere Opera and the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra are based there. You can find also the Moomin Museum here.

There is a new Marriott Hotel connected to the building.

The small museum building near the Metso library is filled with mostly unknown works of local artist Joseph Alanen. He used tempera painting technique with light, shady colours to create mythical pictures of our national epic Kalevala. The chosen style resembles comic book characters with strongly painted outlines and extreme positions. The impressive Lemminkäinen and the Great Serpent was finished in 1920 just before his early death at the age of 34 in the current world epidemic Spanish fever.
