An interestin place to visit and very pleasant host the owner Riku who gave us personal tour in the museum and interestin details about Jarno Saarinen.
If you visit Lahti this place is a must.
Mielenkiintoinen paikka vierailla ja nostalginen tunnelma. Jos tulet Lahteen niin tässä paikassa on käytävä.

This museum has both indoor and outdoor exhibition. Outside, you can find the old radio broadcasting building, with some activities. Inside, you get an overview of this AM stations history and the history of Finnish Broadcasting, both radio and TV. There are plenty of activities you can do - listen to samples, make a phonecall old fashion way, and of course you can buy some souvenirs and small staff. I recommend the salt liqourice (which Finns love). You can buy coffee to go during your visit. Everything is kept well and clean and the staff is super friendly.

The Church of the Cross is designed by the famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. It was built in 1978.

From outside it is not the prettiest churches in Finland. The building is dominated by a cross design formed by 52 windows and a massive belfry of concrete.

The beautiful interior has a triangular form which directs the attention towards the altar. The interior has the same vibe as you can feel in the Finlandia House in Helsinki.

The sculpture Spirit of Freedom by Wäinö Aaltonen stands in the cemetery for the war dead.

The Lahti International Organ Festival is held here.

Lahti has grown in the last hundred years from a small township to a remarkable summer and winter attraction. The Lahti Historical Museum shows why and when the growth has happened.

This shopping mall is located in the city center. It is conveniently connected to Scandic City Hotel.

There are many shops, restaurants, and bars. On the ground floor is K-Supermarket grocery store.
