The Fortress and the museums in there are stiking . There are local inhabitants too so be careful while looking around .Got impressed with the weapons and sub-marine .Store some energy and have some breaks at the Cafe's there .A lot to waşlk finish till Kings Gate.

Beautiful church in a lovely square. It's a must in the city for its surroundings. The new architecture is unique and since it's located in higher ground, there's also a worth view.

A small walk uphill towards the golden domes. Church looks a bit run down from outside. Inside is better, with much to see.

Happy Place, the open area was a buzz with street performers and street cafe. Made the place more relaxing and entertaining. If I had to paint a picture it would be picturesque.

The monument itself is located near the lake, but is not well marked to get there from all entrances. Best to use some sort of map / navigation to find it, particularly in winter. Quite lovely monument, but would benefit from some sort of explaination -- is it a graphic representation of a particular piece (aka Finlandia)?

Not the highest sky-wheel as well as not the cheapest one, latter is rather unfortunate. Otherwise nice short attraction - normal ride is 12 minutes and consists of 3 or 4 rounds, according to employee. You can order VIP ride with champagne and all, also there is sky sauna :) don't know how long such rides will take, but suppose longer than usual ones, an will be even more expensive.
Cabins are weather proof and aircon is present so no issue with bad weather. It was rather windy on the day of our visit but that not changed the experience, maybe bit more swaying. Views not too spectacular but ok, just to get some overview for the surroundings/ Main downside is the price, bit pricey for my liking but that depends on your wallet, maybe family tickets give more value for money, but since were not eligible for it I've not checked.

An architectural masterpiece. It is a nice little oasis with all sorts of tropical plants (cactuses, palms etc). Good tip for those who feel cold pintching, and would like to warm up a bit and at the same time enjoy mother natures beauty. Also good place to take more romantic pictures. Suggestion would be to perhaps open a caffe in the greenhouse.

If you go to the Market Square, this should not be missed! It is at one end of Esplanade Park. Interesting history: made in Paris, and installed in 1908. This rather voluptuous nude was too sexy for prudish Lutheran Finns a hundred years ago, and it was quite controversial. Now, it is a much loved symbol of the city. And a very famous landmark. Quite photogenic.

This time there was a new exhibition called ‘Streets of Crime and Love’ in this stunning villa from 1846.

Dozens of films and TV series have been filmed in Kallio that is a neighborhood in Helsinki. This visual exhibition is interestingly showcasing them.

Although Hakasalmi Villa is not a big building, there was much to see. The many familiar movies raised memories from childhood.

We really enjoyed our tour with Riku! He showed and told us about Helsinki lifestyle, not the major touristic spots. Just the way we liked it! Great way to see the City and places you wouldn't normally see on The hop on hop off busses. Really comfortable bikes to ride. 10/10

We loved the peace and quiet and beauty of Nuuksio. We had a great experience canoeing, as well as a little bit of berry and mushroom picking. Our guide Olli was knowledgeable and fun to be around.

Spending a few hours in this modern sauna before joining a dinner at the attached restaurant is the way to go in Helsinki! The atmosphere is unique as young people gather here before their evening out and enjoying the sauna here really gave us a slice of life of the Finnish people living in Helsinki. Traditions are kept as you will still find your ladle to pour water on the stove to create the perfect humidity. Do yourself a favour and visit the sauna on any city trip to Helsinki!

Helsinki is a wonderful clean city and their waterways are just as delightful. We were fortunate the weather in September was as good as the UK, so we had no problems with what to wear. In many respects we enjoyed this more than the waterways of Venice, because the architecture is more interesing and the waters appear free of rubbish and polution.

Beautiful view but expensive. Also very small but cozy, especially in the weekends it’s hard to get a table but worth to go to see the view!
