Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This sprawling museum has a variety of old buildings spanning the history of Finland. It was put together very logically. From the grand Russian house and the manor building, to the bear cache and the haymakers cottage, there is something for everyone. A few buildings each day have people in them who represent historical types of Finns, and they all speak reasonably good English. There is a nice little cafe, a lot of singing and flying birds (no squirrels, though) and if you go off the beaten path there are all sorts of little trails that lead to spectacular views of the lake. Especially nice on a cool, sunny day. And clean and free washrooms!

This is a large green space near the water in Helsinki, on the waterfront trail, very popular with the locals. There are some hills which a worth climbing because the views are excellent. Also, depending on the weather there might be ducks and other birds to watch.

Sinebrychoff is a lovely yet small musuem, it's easy to navigate through and there is plenty of rooms with stunning art and history.

It is a very nice experience visiting this museum. Some dolls like Micky are not representing their fictional characters in my option. However, many of them are so finely made that you will fell like passing through a journey to your childhood.

Definitely would visit there again. So beautiful and nice little place to relax. Many different plants and even a small fish pond. At summer there is also different roses in a garden. Tram stop is just next to the garden so it is easy to get there. Free entrance.

Haaga Rhododendron Park is a public park located in the district of Haaga.

The park has two parts: the evergreen rhododendrons grow in the southern section, while the azaleas grow on the other side of the power lines in the northern section.

Floral splendor can be viewed from wooden pathways and platforms.

The peak blooming season is in early June. On our visit, the blooming was a little bit late. The spring was colder than average. Also, high pine trees create a shading canopy for the flowering plants.

Thousands of Helsinki residents and gardening enthusiasts visit the park each year to witness the spectacle.

Vallisaari was like heven. Such a quiet and beautiful island. Enough services and a lot of activities for those who want them. Suomenlinna is nice place, but do something different and take this.

The escape games are excellent and challenging. ^v^ We played 'The Holy Grail' & 'Trapped' on the same day. As we enjoyed the first one a lot, and joined the second one immediately. The props and puzzles are great. Always need to pay more attention to details to solve the puzzles.

PS. If play with your partner, we highly recommend to reserve online and use their dating offer with the discount code, it is muchhhhh cheaper! It's definitely a good date activity. <3

A thoroughly authentic sauna offering - very different to the tourist experience offered by Allas Sea Pool or Löyly Helsinki and in my opinion, much better for it. This is a fabulous place and if you’re considering it, you should go!

Made a trip advisor account just to rate this spot. Regulars are very accommodating, a must visit for anyone who wishes to have a genuine sauna like the locals

What a nice little tea house in the heart of Helsinki. You can hop in to purchase tea accesories or stay for a warm cup and some sweets 😊

Our family of three did the "Helsinki by Kayak" guided tour of about 3 hours' length. We've done a very tiny bit of kayaking before on very calm waters, but are pretty close to being beginners, so we can say that this tour is (as they say in their promo materials) perfectly suitable for those with little or no kayaking experience. Aniinna was our guide and she was fantastic, very friendly, informative, and watching out for how we were doing at all times.

The tour started on the body of water near the "Long Bridge," just in front of the Botanical Garden, went west under a railroad bridge into a bigger bay with fantastic views of downtown Helsinki buildings, then we went east into other bays, beached on a small city island for a snack (which they provided) and bathroom break, and paddled into slightly more industrial parts which was fun too. Other than when the weather got a bit rainy and windy near the end requiring us to paddle a little harder, the waters were generally super gentle and easy to glide around.

This tour gives you a wonderful perspective on the city that you can't experience in any other way. The waters in and around Helsinki are so integral to the geography and the very nature of the city that you will come to a deeper "feeling" for the city if you participate in this tour. For our family I can say we will never forget this experience. And again, we are pretty close to being kayaking rookies. Natura Viva seems like a great outfit, run by folks with a great love for their land and the desire to share that with visitors.
