Finnish natural in a nutshell! The island is an open museum with historical buildings relocated there and a stunning natural landscape—a great place to walk around and taste the old time's lifestyle.

I beg all my readers to check out this expansive, lush urban park on the southern end of central Helsinki. It’s moderately hilly, with grassy areas for picnics and benches for people-watching and admiring the harbor vistas. I drive a power wheelchair, and most of the trails within the park are completely wheelchair-accessible. Anyone of any background will find something to appreciate here. Plus, it’s free!

Do yourself a huge favor and visit the Kaivopuisto ASAP. Take lots of pictures, and have fun!

This art museum is located in the Sinebrychoffs’ palatial townhouse completed in 1842.

There are changing exhibitions in the cellar and on the 1st floor. This time they were Linnaeus - Glimpses of Paradise and Jarmo Mäkilä - Matrix Hardcore.

As always, the house museum on the 2nd floor is the best part of the experience. Here you can see the striking interior of this home palace.

The entrance is free to the house museum. I am not sure if it is worth paying 16 euros to see the changing exhibitions. Luckily, we have Finnish museum cards with a free entrance also there.

We went for the Helsinki Biennial 2021 and were totally blown away - we had the most amazing day strolling the island and exploring the exhibitions. Very unique and highly recommended!

An architectural masterpiece. It is a nice little oasis with all sorts of tropical plants (cactuses, palms etc). Good tip for those who feel cold pintching, and would like to warm up a bit and at the same time enjoy mother natures beauty. Also good place to take more romantic pictures. Suggestion would be to perhaps open a caffe in the greenhouse.

Closed until first of April. Would be nice if someone would have noted that. Quaint but island in repair mode. Don't follow Google maps

Observatory Hill is a 30-meter high hill next to the South harbor in Ullanlinna district.

It's mainly a park but there are also some buildings. The Helsinki Observatory from 1834 is the most important. It was designed by Carl Ludvig Engel.

The most impressive monument is 'The Shipwrecked' monument. The sculpture depicts a shipwrecked family.

The hill is a popular picnic spot because of the beautiful scenery.

This Jugend villa is located in a park by the sea in the Meilahti district. It was built in 1904. From 1940, it was one of the three official residences of the President of Finland.

The most important resident was President Urho Kekkonen who lived there 30 years 1956-1986 until his death. Since 1987, the villa has been the Urho Kekkonen Museum.

Tamminiemi is furnished the way it was in Kekkonen's time in the 1970s. In a separate building is the famous sauna which was used to entertain Kekkonen's domestic and foreign guests.

I have played all the three rooms and specially the horror room was great, probably my favourite escape room of all time! And I don’t like horror movies at all, but this room was great.

Leif is AMAZING. This was BY FAR the standout tour of the trip. I went for my 30th birthday and brought along by boyfriend (27), brother (28) and friend (23). This trip was extremely well received by us all. I include age for those who have families with young adults and wonder if this would be a good activity. And resoundingly YES this is an amazing activity. We are a family of Ocean Lifeguards in Los Angeles so this was right up our alley. We were flying through the water like actually FLYING. It was the perfect day in November (no rain thankfully) and our 4 passenger boat did it all. I brought eggs on Board by accident...they didn't break miraculously. But don't be fooled by how smooth this boat ride is. Because it still has that adrenaline junkie element that we CRAVED. We did the tour that allowed us to walk on Vallisaari Island for an Hour. Highly recommend. You get the extreme sport aspect and an actual amazing tour in one. We loved Leif he's radical.

My first escape room experience and really enjoyed it! ’The curse’ was really challenging and fun (also at times a bit scary).

Superb place for our first time supboarding. Chris was a great guide. We used the Riptide boards which apparently are good for beginners. Thanks!

We really enjoyed our tour with Riku! He showed and told us about Helsinki lifestyle, not the major touristic spots. Just the way we liked it! Great way to see the City and places you wouldn't normally see on The hop on hop off busses. Really comfortable bikes to ride. 10/10

We loved the peace and quiet and beauty of Nuuksio. We had a great experience canoeing, as well as a little bit of berry and mushroom picking. Our guide Olli was knowledgeable and fun to be around.

This is one of the best cocktail bars I have ever been in. Staff, drinks, atmosphere, everything is on point. We were in Helsinki for 4 nights and went here every night. Not pretentious in any way, the staff were great and done really well even in busy times. Cocktails were really really good. Do not miss this place.
