It’s a bit expensive to go in (8 euros) in my opinion, but an interesting church nonetheless. A wide variety of coffee, bakeries and deli offerings, you’ll find a lot of repeats as you walk down the two rows of offerings. Lots of red squirrels running around.
Could have spent hours here but on a guided tour. This block sized square is a popular magnet for folks climbing the steps for perfect views of downtown Helsinki. The design outside is like a wooden egg, and inside is very peaceful with soft lighting and wood furnishings. I found it mildly interesting with many of the stalls selling the same kind of things. Expensive either way you cut it. We did buy some canned sardines and they were $10. Entry is free. You need to leave your coats, umbrellas and food etc at the ground floor. There are free lockers.
The building from inside is beautiful, with gorgeous frescoes.
The library is spic and span and well organised. Many places to sit and read in silence.
There is a cafe downstairs but didn't check it out. Clean restrooms.

The arts and crafts ones were really good but the food stalls were just the best. What was disappointing was that we had just had lunch before walking down here and some of the hot food stalls smelled delicious.
