What travellers are saying
- NovamidwifeOakland, CA13 contributionsWe came into the shop day-of to inquire about renting city bikes for a self-guided tour of Helsinki. The two staff were extraordinarily helpful and cheerful! They provided us with bikes, helmets, locks, basket and tire fix kit, and took time to ask what we wanted to see in the city, provided a map and helped us plan a route. Quality!
Only downside is that my bike was ghosting in 3rd gear, but it did not significantly affect my day.
Would highly recco this spot!Written 5 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Gisa L.1 contributionI loved the tour!
I could see Helsinki and Espoo from a different perspective. Something one don't get if they aren't a local.
It was a great activity for a team building day.
Bikes are fabulous!Written 25 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - JoMoKeHamilton, Canada90 contributionsWe arrived in Helsinki for a day and wanted to cycle. We found Stadi online and thought it would be easy to find. Helsinki is undergoing lots of construction and it made it difficult to navigate on foot. We finally located the store and had around 3-4 hours. Luis the owner was so helpful and accommodating. We were given directions and recommendations. We LOVED cycling on the amazing trail keeping us away from busy roads. We were given a lock allowing us to stroll in the downtown area. Bikes were all in great condition allowing us to see another side of Helsinki. I read in a review that Luis delivered bikes to other visitors who planned ahead! I'd encourage anyone to rent bikes from this shop!Written 20 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Sue255678Nelson, New Zealand14 contributionsThe bikes were convenient, placed well, usually available when and where we wanted them. Also a great way to see the city, get exercise etc. However it was not high season yet. Also over 2 weeks we used them, we noticed more and more were needing maintainence.Written 16 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KatiTravelsFinland21 contributionsWe organized a team event of guided mountain biking in Helsinki Central Park and this was the perfect activity for a small business team! The bikes were of really high quality (Canyon Neuro) electric bikes and were suitable for everyone in our team from first-timers to experienced mountain bikers.
The guide took us through the Central Park trails based to how we managed in the initial training and also how we were keeping up in the beginning of the route. A total of about 14 km of riding the bikes on varying paths and trails took about 2.5 hours (including initial "training") and was really spot on as a team activity. The fitness level of the group was good enough - participants could adjust the electric assistance depending on their needs.
After the rides in the forest, a sauna and a shower were optional to get in the Hotel Haaga. This was a good add-on so that we could continue to dinner with the team afterwards.
If the area is unfamiliar, I recommend getting a guided tour for small groups, so that you don't have to spend time on guessing where to go and what routes are suitable for you. Just enjoy the ride!Written 24 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Voyage8169171 contributionWe rented the boat with few friends to spend the evening seeing Helsinki from the sea. The boat was big, very tidy and well equipped. It accommodated nicely 8 persons.
Our captain was very friendly and had a good local knowledge with nice little details about the surrounding islands.Written 20 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - vinotourSan Francisco, CA97 contributions4 Californians had a great first time visit to Helsinki on July 28, 2015. Renting ebikes from Heikki was great. He provides excellent guidance on the use of the bikes, great helmets and a map that was easy to follow. You can't go wrong with the Bike Shack, we saw sights that we would never see on a tour bus. A very good value and fantastic service. Look for the large metal square box at the intersection behind where all the tour buses pull in, there's a nice outdoor cafe/beer place across the way.Written 12 August 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- nbskdHelsinki, Finland36 contributionsI went there for a paddleboarding newbie experience. The young staff were nice and helpful, the equipment seemed new and we got the necessary information on paddling techniques, do's and don'ts. The experience was fun and very reassuring. The place is close to Sibelius monument and Seurasaari.Written 21 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- smk650307Busto Arsizio, Italy161 contributionsThis Wheel of Helsinki is indeed a nice way to see the Kauppatori area and see the islands near by.
I think it would turn out more exciting if some of the cabins were with a glass bottom. Three rounds is a bit too little for the 12€ payed, but I had to try it. Marketing wise, products that are less expencive have more customers. So... My advice: 7,50€ to an adult for 3 rounds, then stop each time for new passengers. July is a holiday month to many, so this wheel should've been full. Only four wagons were operated due the one person handling it all. Who is the "guru" behind all this? Only 3* due to the view !!!Written 22 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Juha P3 contributionsOne of the best things all holiday. This service has significantly dropped the price of car rental in Helsinki and upgraded the availability. For Eur 59 / day I rented an incredible Audi A5 Convertible that would have costed me three times the price from big car rentals. Great cars - amazing service.Written 28 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
