Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- CelestescheepersLidingo, Sweden22 contributionsHelsinki was as charming as always- all the festive christmas lights everywhere.. The Julmarket had finished the previous day, but everything else was still there. Oodi Labrary is something else , you can spend hours just lazing there ( and eat and go to ghe toilet) in the nice open warm spaces. Helsinki Museum is also eorth dome time. And then - always arrange a Free Walking Tour, where you tip the guide accordingly. You always learn something new and discover hidden gems through thrm.
And last but not least, do an sauna and swim right there almost in town, next to the quay.Written 7 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Free entry so well worth a look. It’s just opposite the main Cathedral behind Senate Square so very central location. Very friendly greeting on arrival, where you need to leave all coats and bags in free lockers and you pick up a free information guide.Written 4 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Heli PHelsinki, Finland7,684 contributionsAnybody can enter to admire the University Library built above the metro station and designed by Anttinen Oiva Architects in 2012. There is a small door at Kaisaniemi on street level but the main entrance is on Fabianinkatu. A connection through several doors and corridors leads to another remarkable showcase of Finnish architecture, the Porthania which too belongs to Helsinki University. Aarne Ervi whose works include the Töölö Library and the almost derelict Heikintori shopping center in Tapiola designed it in the 1950's.Written 1 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
