Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic place! Honestly doesn't look like it would be anything special from the outside, however inside is just delightful! the staff are so friendly and the views on the harbour are divine in the sunshine. It is quite hard to get there at the moment with the building works but worth the walk

Can’t say enough good things about this experience. I went on a Tuesday evening for the public sauna - 2 hrs. It’s so homey and inviting. Very well equipped with changing rooms, extra bathing suits, a grill, picnic table, plenty of chairs, and a fridge full of refreshing drinks. It’s situated right next to a public swimming beach which is perfect for cooling off between rounds of sauna. Absolutely beautiful surroundings- felt just like my home in Maine, US. Blooming flowers abound in summer. Highly recommended even if you are staying in the center of Helsinki- its about a 20-25 minute ride by uber. Well worth it. Great value too.

We visited this public sauna as a group. The sauna is next to the sea, with on street parking.
You enter via a reception, we prebooked as there are busy times. You have a time slot, eg 2 hours. Collect a locker key and towels.
On our visit there were 4 saunas in use, a couple of smoke saunas which are heated once a day, and a couple of electric ones.

Between saunas you can go for a swim in the sea, or sunbathe.

For those who are less well sighted, there are some glass panels to be aware of.

There is also a cafe if you wish, afterwards.

A thoroughly authentic sauna offering - very different to the tourist experience offered by Allas Sea Pool or Löyly Helsinki and in my opinion, much better for it. This is a fabulous place and if you’re considering it, you should go!

THIS IS A GREAT SWIMMING HALL 🏊🏽‍♀️. I just had to shout it out. Go here if you want a calm atmosphere, no annoying children yelling, playing and running, your own cubicle where you can rest, and lovely architecture. The extra fee for the 2nd floor facilities (e.g. own cubicle, steam room, wood burning sauna) is money well spent. Please observe that they apply a gendered admission schedule, so there's no need for swimming pants.

Made a trip advisor account just to rate this spot. Regulars are very accommodating, a must visit for anyone who wishes to have a genuine sauna like the locals

I discovered this place near Helsinki while looking for a sauna in nature last summer! I went alone initially and loved it so much that I went again with a friend! The shower facilities are clean, and after enjoying the sauna, you can swim in the pristine sea, feeling like a natural being 😂 The owner was also very nice! I'll definitely go again next time I'm in Helsinki! Highly recommended!

My team and I went for a magic Christmas get-away to Villa Furuvik for the day. Starting the day with a short ferry trip from central Helsinki, we hiked to the picturesque Stansvik manor and its surroundings, enjoyed the quiet snowy forest in Tahvonlahti ja Hevossalmi, before ending our brief 6km hike in Furuvik.

The venue exceeded our expectations! Even as seven Finns the combination of a tradional-romantic setting in the cottage with a modern and very comfortable sauna was a success! The ice-swimming was organized superbly with a large swimming area in the sea and heated steps on the way down. Despite it only being the second time ever I ice-swam, I went back thrice during the day!

The atmosphere and surroundings were second to none and the people of Villa Furuvik were beyond helpful in making arrangements and suggestions when we were planning our day.

    We will definitely be back.

Suitable to rent for a private party. Old fashion sauna heated with wood, outhouse closets and a separate club house for catering. Not suitable for fancy celebrations but for a party preferably everyone bringing they own drinks. Possible park your boat nearby as well as your car even over night.

I like the atmosphere where no one is asking you anything or checking on you. It is very relaxed and the sauna areas are pleasant with free water at the bar !

If you have only a couple of days to visit Finland at Helsinki, go to Saunasaari when possible! You can experience the Finnish sauna tradition, a blink of cottage life and beautiful sea view from the island. and from unbelievably close to capital city's center. You are able to enjoy traditional smoke sauna while the staff is preparing the traditional dinner on fire. Smoked salmon, potatoes and other simple local food prepared without electricity tastes so good in this environment. The greatest highlight of the evening, we were able to see even Northern lights!

I came for a massage and it was fantastic I get regular massages for a back injury . I have extreme tightness in my lower back around l4, l5 and my Si joint and have some nerve issues with my left leg .

Pik made me feel wonderful .she is very intuitive about the body and has very good strong hand . She is very professional and a pleasure to be near .
I highly recommend her work . You will not be sorry .
She will listen to what you need and customize your treatment .
I will come back again in a heart beat . Do yourself a favor and book with Pik.
The tea and small snack at the end was a nice treat .
    Thank you PIK!!

We enjoyed our visit to this sauna to relax at the end of the day touring the city. The manager was fantastic and very gracious. Facilities were charming and made for a very welcoming feel.
