Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- TLusiNew Orleans, LA427 contributionsWe ate here after taking the ferry over to Sveaborg. The market attendants tend to be a little aggressive, as it is a fairly big place with lots of vendors. We enjoyed a nice kebab meal and walked around. Desserts, souvenirs, fresh fish, etc.Written 13 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maria Matos SequeiraPlymouth, UK939 contributionsA buzzing square, flea market by the harbour. The outdoor stall vendors selling variety of souvenir items, reindeer fur, handicrafts , traditional food, fresh fruits & vegetables, coffee and snacks stalls and lots more to see and buy. - goodguyjasLondon, UK1,228 contributionsPopular harbour area with markets aimed at tourists for souvenirs and food. Really enjoyed the busy vibe and some of the street food vendors. Can be hectic at key times but obviously a place to go. You also get all your boat trips to the nearby islands from here as well as ferries. The cruise ships are around the corner but you still see some big boats here. Nearby Ferris wheel and other attractions plus restaurants and cafes. There are also places to sunbathe and swimming pools in paid for segregated sections if you want. Seagulls hang around here but as long as you don’t encourage them they don’t pester you. A lot Helsinki’s main attractions are in walking distance so you can see the famous white cathedral over the harbour area buildings that makes for a great picture if coming into port from a boat trip.Written 15 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - B KGurugram (Gurgaon), India186 contributionsQuite a central location. We discovered this as we had to take a bus to Seeurasaari Island.
The mall is located above the bus station and the metro station.
I was very impressed with the way the bus station is organised.
The mall has a huge variety of stores and eateries.
If you want to explore and shop for the mid range brands , this place is a great option and is well connected too.Written 30 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I thought it was a hotel, but when I saw some of its customers coming out of the store with shopping bags, I realized that it is another big store.

- Heli PHelsinki, Finland7,684 contributionsThough situated at the edge of the Design District facing the Agricola Church the private fleamarket has gained popularity during recent times.
